00:00In other news, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, or FEVOX, has recorded the largest pyroclastic density current, or PDC, so far this year, following the continued activity of Mayon Volcano.
00:13According to FEVOX, there is a possibility that this could still be followed by more events.
00:18Dr. Paul Alanis, supervising science research specialist of FEVOX at the Mayon Observatory, explained that the source of the PDCs is what are called lava fronts.
00:29He said that the ashfall experience was observed to have come from the lava flow facing Kamalig and Ginobatan.
00:35He added that the wind is coming from the northeast.
