00:30But our peace and happiness wasn't to last.
00:33Far from our village, the evil god Magatsu had begun his spread of miasma throughout the lands.
00:39And from that poisoned haze, strange and mysterious creatures emerged.
00:44The Magaori.
00:45These beasts leave terror and destruction in their wake.
00:48They continued to claim more and more land, and finally, the sinister hand of Magatsu crept close to our Shinju village.
00:56But our spirits will not be broken.
00:58To avert this crisis, Shinju has bestowed upon us a divine proclamation.
01:04I am to gather eight trusted companions from the village.
01:07Prayer children, as the villagers call them.
01:09And together we will confront Magatsu and bring them to their knees.
01:13We were granted by the sacred tree a special staff and swords.
01:18The Tsurugi wielded their swords to defeat foes, and the Kagura supported them with mythical skills through their staff.
01:25Setting out on a journey to distant lands to defeat Magatsu.
01:29Yet this task has been harder than we thought, and time after time we have been met with defeat.
01:34But not all is lost.
01:36It is Shinju's gifts that propel us forward, as I have been bestowed the powers to turn back time so we may confront Magatsu once again until victory is certain.
01:46And at last, after countless challenges, we finally arrived at where Magatsu awaited.
01:51For the sake of our village, and for the prayer children who believed in me and followed me this far, I surely cannot lose.
