00:00We have resources, we have a transportation system, modern pipelines, we have good relations with many European countries and for them it's a way to strengthen the energy security.
00:15For us, it's an opportunity to sell our resources on the premium market.
00:20At the World Economic Forum in Davos, conversations this year were shaped by uncertainty from shifting geopolitics to the future of energy security.
00:34Among the countries navigating this changing global landscape is Azerbaijan.
00:38Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Azerbaijan's presence at Davos reflects its role in discussions on geopolitics, energy and regional connectivity.
00:48International relations are entering the new era.
00:52Every country should base their strategy and policy on their potential, establish good relations with as many countries as possible.
01:02And that's what Azerbaijan managed to achieve.
01:05This approach is also reflected in developments in the South Caucasus.
01:09After years of instability, Azerbaijan is now operating in a different regional context, where peace and cooperation are increasingly discussed alongside economic considerations.
01:21Energy remains central to Azerbaijan's global role.
01:25A key supplier of natural gas to Europe, the country is also signaling a transition, investing in renewables while maintaining supply in a volatile market, a balance that draws attention.
01:36Being placed where they are, it's a crossroads on culture and history, but also to be an example to other neighbors in terms of its transition from extractives to renewables.
01:48Their aspirations to export over eight gigawatts in renewable energy is something that they can celebrate.
01:55Azerbaijan's geographic positioning and abundance of natural resources firmly place it at the center of energy supply and infrastructure debates.
02:03He has a blessed with a natural resource base, blessed with abundant renewable energy resources, and blessed with electricity at the end of the day that everyone needs.
02:13This is by far the most in-demand element of energy is where can we find electrons, particularly as we move into data center management and AI.
02:22And I think it's very reasonable to look to Azerbaijan as a place for inward investment to make sure that we get the benefit of that and also to make sure that this crossroads of transport molecules and electrons is something that creates economic partnerships that, at the end of the day, create stability regionally and globally.
02:44As global uncertainty reshapes priorities, Azerbaijan remains a key player linking energy security today with the transition shaping tomorrow.
