00:00Hey guys, so I just wanted to share a quick update with everyone and share something important.
00:09Over the last few weeks, my life has changed very fast.
00:16What started as esophageal cancer ended up spreading aggressively to my liver.
00:23And weirdly, I had almost no symptoms from the esophagus itself.
00:32Everything that I've been feeling, so the really intense pain in my right side of the liver, where the liver is,
00:44radiating right through to my back, the jaundice, the itching, the bloating, the exhaustion,
00:51all of that has come from how fast it's taken hold of my liver.
00:58That's something I really want people to hear because sometimes cancer doesn't shout where it starts.
01:07Sometimes it whispers and shows itself somewhere else.
01:11Right now, I'm in palliative care while still continuing treatment.
01:21I've chosen to keep fighting with chemo, even though it's been incredibly tough.
01:29Some days are harder than others, especially the nighttime.
01:33But I'm surrounded by family and I'm being looked after.
01:38They've put me on some new pain management medication this evening.
01:43I have my sister staying with me by my side.
01:48So I'm very grateful for that.
01:50And finally, I just want to say thank you to everyone, every message, every share, every donation, every bit of love.
02:02I feel every single piece of it.
02:05And if there's one thing that I'd ask is please listen to your body.
02:11Push for answers.
02:13Push for answers, don't ignore changes and early checks really, really, really do matter.
02:20I will continue taking this one day at a time and I'm sending love to anyone else walking this same road because it's not easy, but you're not alone.
