American Olympic freestyle skiers say they hope to represent positive values at the upcoming Milano Cortina Winter Games, as protests over U.S. immigration enforcement continue both in the United States and abroad.

Aerial skier Chris Lillis said he remains proud to represent the U.S. and would not want to compete for another country, but described feeling “heartbroken” by recent developments. Fellow Olympian Hunter Hess, 27, said wearing Team USA gear and the American flag has brought up mixed emotions.
