00:00So for me, generational wealth starts in the idea of saying we, as the private sector, have to invest in the talent within the community.
00:11What comes to mind when I think of wealth building is, you know, starting from where you're at.
00:16And so often we don't have these opportunities within our community, especially when you're impoverished or you're incarcerated.
00:22So like for myself, when I was incarcerated, what I did, because before that, my parents were franchise business owners.
00:29They were restaurateurs. So I always knew and understood what it meant for being an entrepreneur and how you can have your success and your wealth through entrepreneurship.
00:38But when I was inside and I was making a hundred dollars a month, I still took 20 percent of my earnings and I saved it.
00:46And so when I came home and every single dollar that I got, I saved.
00:50And so what we teach women through this is not only rebuilding your credit, because that's important,
00:55because you can leverage your credit to start businesses, to rebuild your life, but you can also use that money in order to invest.
