The government has agreed to provide a 50% toll discount on Feb 14 and 15 in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2026 celebrations.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the discount will be in effect from 12.01am on Feb 14 until 11.59pm on Feb 15, with RM19.5mil allocated as compensation to highway concessionaires.

00:37government's efforts to promote unity and safeguard the well-being of Malaysians of all races and
00:43religions. According to him, the discount is expected to help ease travel costs for motorists
00:50returning to their hometowns or going on holiday during the festive period, as well as ahead of
00:55Ramadan. The initiative applies to Class I private vehicles at all toll plazas and Class II vehicles
01:02at the Penang Bridge but excludes toll plazas at the country's borders, namely the Sultan Iskandar
01:09Customs Immigration and Quarantine Complex on the North-South Expressway, PLUS, and the Tanjung
01:15Kupang Toll Plaza on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link, Link Kedua. He said the dates were selected
01:21to minimize traffic congestion while allowing highway operators to optimize operations and
01:27coordinate additional logistics at lay-bys and rest and service areas, R&Rs. Highway users are
01:35advised to plan their journeys carefully, observe traffic regulations, and check real-time traffic
01:41updates via the Malaysian Highway Authority's official channels or the Traffic Management Centre.
