00:42going to be the most bet super bowl ever you know if you just look at the evidence over the past eight
00:46years every super bowl has been the most bet ever and obviously americans appetites for sports betting
00:52has gone up but also their access to it has gone a lot up and it's become a lot more prevalent in
00:56our lives this year we're projecting 1.7 billion dollars in revenue uh the eighth year in a row
01:01another all-time record single biggest betting day in u.s history but what i'm really interested
01:06about this year craig is the revenue and how much operators actually make from the super bowl we know
01:11a lot is going to be bet but how much are they going to keep at legal sports report we're projecting
01:15about 100 million dollars in revenue off of that 1.7 billion dollar handle figure which is assuming
01:23about a six percent hold rate now it's historically it's been really hard to kind of tell how well
01:29operators are going to do on the super bowl uh nevada it's ranged from one percent to twelve percent
01:34over the last decade so sometimes they have a really good day sometimes they get hit really hard
01:39this year especially we're going to be looking at player props um and parlay legs more than we ever
01:45have i think last year was kind of the first year where you saw the public win on the spread
01:49the money line and the total which went over in a really high scoring game and before the results
01:55came out uh wall street analysts were kind of putting out stuff that oh the books got hit hard
02:00they don't know how they're going to recover from this they had a terrible football season
02:03this year they've had a really bad football season as well but then what actually came out was you know
02:08because travis kelsey didn't get in the end zone because saquon barkley didn't get in the end zone
02:12uh the books actually have one of their best days ever so i think it's going to be a lot more of the
02:17same this year where we're really looking at just individual player performances to forecast how
02:21well these books do now the the most bet touchdown or the most bet prop usually always it's you know
02:28not a gatorade or something like that is uh anytime touchdown props so if we have a case where you know
02:33it's just a lot of kicking field goals and nobody that you really know of or as popular gets in the
02:38end zone no jsn's no remandre stevenson's no kenneth walker those are the top three guys right now
02:43um it could be a case where the public cleans up again on the spread and the money line or
02:47you know what whatever and the books absolutely do a killing so it'll be really interesting to see
02:52who exactly is scoring this year that's what the books will be watching right now most of the money
02:56is on seattle you know the spread has moved from three and a half a lot of places to four and a half
03:01um i would expect that to kind of continue it seems like they're forecasting a sloppier game
03:06uh with a total around 45 right now i believe this the betting on that has actually been 50 50
03:11uh so it'll be interesting to see if that spikes in any direction you know when it's i always find
03:16it so interesting you have a ton of people betting on uh touchdown props all these guys to score but
03:21then nobody's confident it'll be a high scoring game i think that just kind of shows you the appetite
03:25that we have as sports bettors or fans to you know pick guys to do certain things and not really think
03:30about how it folds in the game but ultimately this year is going to be you know much more about how the
03:34players do than the actual game itself and hey if it's close like you know we're hoping that's even
03:39better for the books
