00:00Interstate firefighters are a welcome relief for CFS crews who've been battling the Deep
00:06Creek fire in difficult terrain for five days.
00:08We're in a Mt Barker truck and we've got forestry and we've got RFS.
00:15With a massive backburning effort underway, the fire has already burnt through two thirds
00:19of the Deep Creek National Park.
00:20We currently burn over 3,700 hectares as part of the fire.
00:24We do anticipate that will get bigger as we put in our backburning operations.
00:29The fire is under control, but residents of the Fleurieu Peninsula have been warned to
00:33keep an eye on conditions.
00:34Should that fire get out of that and move to the north, we have options identified as to
00:42where we will take action.
00:45With road closures still in place in the fire zone, crews have confirmed seven sheds and
00:49shipping containers have been damaged.
00:52That's sheds and other things.
00:53To this date, we don't know if there's any houses impacted.
00:56We haven't had a report.
00:59But have already made more than 1,000 drops of water and retardant to support more than
01:03200 crew.
01:05With firefighters from New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria already on the ground, more crews
01:09are expected to arrive from Western Australia to relieve the hardworking CFS team over the
01:14weekend.
01:15Authorities say that this is a marathon rather than a sprint, with teams expected to be on
01:20the ground for weeks until enough rain falls to put the fires out.
01:25Here we go.
01:25Wait a minute.
01:27Yeah.
01:29Yeah.
01:30I think we have a lot of people who have been watching it with, we've been watching it
01:32first, but we have a chance that we've been watching it.
01:33And we can see that we're going to be watching it.
01:34So we're going to see that the crowd is attempting to be some of the ones that are ever bombs
01:37coming back to the road.
01:38So I'm going to be watching it.
01:39When we see a marathon, we can see that it here.
01:40We can see that it has a pretty good idea, and it's going to be in the first case that we could
