00:00India and the United States are coming together for something big.
00:07On July 30, at around 5.40 pm IST, they will launch a powerful satellite called NISAR.
00:14This is the first time when ISRO and NASA are launching an Earth observation satellite together.
00:21NISAR will take off from Shri Harikota on ISRO's GSLV rocket.
00:27Once in space, it will start scanning our entire planet and it will do that every 12 days.
00:44The satellite will fly about 743 km above Earth and watch everything that's happening down here.
00:52From forests and farms to glaciers and ocean.
00:57Thanks to its unique radar systems from both NASA and ISRO,
01:03it can operate day or night even in the event of cloud cover or precipitation.
01:09This suggests that we will get clear photos and data no matter the weather.
01:20NISAR has some really cool tech onboard.
01:23It has a huge 12 meter antenna that will unfold in space like a big umbrella.
01:29It also uses something called sweep SAR, which helps it cover a large area with high details.
01:37This means it can take sharp images across wide regions, something older satellites couldn't do.
01:44All this is built on a modified Indian satellite platform, showing how far ISRO's technology has come.
01:52NASA's radar is capable of tracking landslides, soil moisture and even subterranean movements, as well as looking deep beneath woods, ice and soil.
02:13Surface changes such as crop growth, snow change or land movement are better visible with ISRO's radar.
02:21They work as a strong team to provide a comprehensive picture of Earth's situation.
02:28NISAR isn't just for scientists, it's for all of us.
02:41It can help track earthquakes, floods and even how healthy our forests are.
02:47Governments can use the data for farming, water management, climate studies and even disaster rescue after cyclones or wildfires.
02:56This mission will help not just India and the US, but countries around the world.
03:03NISAR is a proud step in India's space journey and a beautiful example of what two nations can do when they come together to protect our planet.
