00:00Alton Towers will restrict access to its disability queuing system during the February
00:07half term, meaning some people with conditions such as autism, ADHD and anxiety will no longer
00:13qualify. Merlin Entertainments, which runs the theme park, provides a ride access pass for
00:19visitors who struggle to queue because of disability or medical needs. The company says
00:24applications for the pass have risen sharply and that disabled visitors have told them the system
00:30simply isn't working for them, adding that queue times for these guests have increased. Merlin
00:36says it continues to offer support to people who struggle with crowds through a range of reasonable
00:41adjustments.
