00:00with Rochelle for more on tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Here's a rundown on your weather.
00:09Let's begin with what's happening. According to the Met Office, a weather-than-usual start
00:14to the 2026 dry season continues to keep soils moist across several agriculture areas. Near
00:21normal rainfall is expected from February 1st to the 15th, easing concerns about dry conditions.
00:28No heat-related hazards are anticipated for early to mid-February 2026.
00:35For Trinidad, the northern, northwestern and central west areas have a moderate chance of
00:41daily rainfall, ranging from 1.6 to 1.8 mm of rainfall, while eastern and northeastern, southern
00:50and southeastern areas have a high chance of a daily rainfall of 1.9 to 2.6 mm.
00:57In Tobago, the southwestern and northeastern areas are expected to experience a moderate
01:03chance of daily rainfall of 1.6 to 2.1 mm.
01:08Now, moving on to conditions tonight. Tonight will be mostly fair and cool with temperatures
01:13at 22 degrees in Trinidad and 24 in Tobago. And tomorrow will be a perfect day, not just
01:20because it will be Friday, but also because conditions will be predominantly sunny and breezy
01:27at times despite the low chance of isolated showers, with maximum temperatures coming in
01:32at 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago. And you know the saying, if it's nice,
01:38do it twice. And that's exactly the kind of conditions we will get for the weekend. A nice
01:43one. As both Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, slightly hazy and breezy at times despite
01:50the odd shower. So, hot sun as we go outdoors, breezy to cool us down and some showers to
01:57water our plants that we probably forgot about. Both days will have maximum temperatures of
02:0231 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago. Now onto our sun times. In Trinidad, sun rises
02:09at 628 and 626 in Tobago. And the sun will set at 611 in Trinidad and 606 in Tobago. Turning
02:18our attention offshore where our seas will be moderate with waves near 2 meters in open waters
02:24and up to 1 meter in sheltered areas. It is now time for your tight times.
02:40Well, that's all for weather tonight. Don't go anywhere because there's more news when we
02:45come back.
