00:37When the reality is, just like it is in many states, like Texas, like Ohio, like Florida,
00:44is that no state, unfortunately, is immune from perpetrators, bad actors, oftentimes criminals,
00:50who try to perpetrate fraud against our government and go after public funds, taxpayer dollars.
00:56Trump is claiming that California is wasting money when, in reality, our programs are helping lower-income individuals and vulnerable families get health care,
01:09get food, get housing assistance, and simply get by, while his administration makes life more and more unaffordable.
01:18For example, with his unlawful tariffs that have raised prices for Americans throughout the country.
01:23While President Trump and his loyal followers like to point fingers at Democratic-led states like California,
01:30while they bandy about the phrase waste, fraud, and abuse as a political talking point to whip up confusion and sow distrust in government institutions,
01:41the California Department of Justice has been here doing the work, head down, sleeves rolled up, tackling fraud,
01:49not, you know, doing it outside of the limelight cameras off, bright lights off, just doing the work to protect the critical taxpayer dollars of California's.
