00:00I'm going to give the right to speak to the first vice president of the National
00:12Assembly Pedro Infante good afternoon greetings companion president second vice president
00:27colleagues parliamentary members but especially to the people of Venezuela I want to greet very
00:34especially all of the bench of the opposition and also recognize the bravery of giving this
00:39debate today that is presented to the country to the Venezuelan people a law of general amnesty for
00:47the peace for the coexistence and for the national reconciliation truly I recognize the bravery of all
00:56who have participated and are part of this national assembly and of this necessary debate for the
01:04homeland and for the country I want to begin my intervention with a data over 95% of Venezuela's
01:11men and women do not want confrontation over 95% of men women young workers grandparents of this
01:24homeland they don't want any more confrontation any more political confrontation in Venezuela they
01:30don't want bombings in Venezuela they don't want violence in Venezuela they don't want more hate and
01:37I believe that those who do politics we have the immense responsibility of speaking to each other
01:43and especially of listening to that 95% of the Venezuelan people that bet on peace and I am sure
01:50that are paying attention to this debate of the law of general amnesty for the coexistence and peace
01:56what values do this 95% or more of Venezuelan men and women assume coexistence they want stability they
02:06want guarantee of peace for them and for the future generations they also speak of the necessity of the
02:13recognition of all and the value of work to meet again with prosperity that is what our people aspire
02:21to that also implies with no doubt to impose respect to impose the tolerance for us to build trust in
02:30the political daily doing of our country for it to be honestly but especially people of Venezuela
02:41those who do politics in the assembly or any state or municipality will the county of this country in
02:50communal councils and condominiums those who do politics demand the position demands responsibility of
02:59all of us responsibility in what we do in what we say but also responsibility in what we communicated how we
03:09communicated when the debate is given here and some terms are expressed we have to take care of it we
03:17have conversed with deputies of the opposition to avoid for this to be a debate that is calculated to see
03:29by political advantage the only political calculation is the peace of the republic the only calculation is the stability of the country
03:43that doesn't deny maintaining differences we maintain the differences with debate on them that is what it's
03:51about politics we already said it is not a weakness or is it about impunity this proposal of a law of amnesty that
04:00also promotes that is being proposed by the acting president but i want to highlight that we must be strong
04:10companions especially facing those who hate those who sow ashes and as we could call them that propose through social
04:23media and through some digital platforms they promote in a permanent way and as their only political line the
04:31promotion of hate and violence we must be strong to those of the opposition and we must strengthen our
04:40social media platforms facing those who hate in the social media platforms from there
04:50why is that saying because we want peace i have a a thought of pope francis who said peace is not
04:57only the absence of war but a construction an artisanal construction we build it with our hands every day
05:05today it is an artisanal and daily construction that is born from the human heart based in justice
05:12dialogue and the truth it is a precious good that requires value to reject violence it was said by pope francis it
05:19has needed more bravery to build peace than for war i want to congratulate the bravery of this people and of all the
05:30presidents who are willing to build this artists and the peace for our country
05:39and i want to make reference
05:42in the debate some deputies of the opposition
05:47talk on some terms i believe that we have to take care of what we say and how to say it
05:52it is our responsibility and the people must know it
05:54they talk of political prisoners and we could say that there's some politicians that are in prison
06:03that debate we will have it with respect close to the law we must be responsible in what we say and
06:09how we say it here we said we must do the list of who is benefited from the apnesies not the people
06:16that are listed a lot list the facts and on those facts it is evaluated the given of the amnesty
06:31and it also said it must be liberated and guaranteed their incorporation to public life
06:37we agree with that proposal with that idea the revision that corresponds legally but there must be a
06:44commitment also of many of these people there must be a commitment
06:53for them to never again ask bombings for venezuela to never ask for invasions for venezuela
07:00or economical blockades and coercive measures against venezuela never to call hate and promote violence
07:09or invite to have rage facing electoral defeat we must be responsible all of us we will rectify we will
07:22correct what needs to be corrected and rectified but we we must all do it and we put it in front of our
07:30people with sincerity there must be people who ask for bombing or invasion or people who celebrate it
07:39that is not correct let's build a country of peace and it's our responsibility our immense responsibilities
07:46our brothers and sisters people of venezuela mother of a political leader of the opposition that is
07:56is detained i speak to you mother of the over 100 that were murdered on january 3rd by the bombings i
08:05speak to you as well neighbors of the valley that listened to those bombings that horrible sound that our
08:15children were traumatized by it we speak to all and the 95 percent of one's peace will also speak to that
08:23here there is a country and this national assemblies today space of debate for this national this general
08:29amnesty to build with our hands the peace that our country deserves that our homeland and our children
08:35and our grandchildren deserve as well thank you very much president people of venezuela
