00:00Store-bought cref singles blue box mac and cheese is not mac and cheese boo.
00:06There's just so many ways to use it. It's so versatile, you know? I love it.
00:12When you bite into a samosa it's like crunchy. And then like the filling is
00:20like in your mouth it's like meat and onion and like curry spices and then you
00:25sprinkle a little bit of lime juice on the top. Hey Natural Color World, it's Nicki and
00:30this is the best ever, the best ever, the best ever Thanksgiving food. The best
00:36ever Thanksgiving food is mac and cheese. The first thing to go at every
00:40Thanksgiving is mac and cheese and you know it. Everybody has leftovers, there's
00:43always cranberry sauce left over, there's always some nasty baked beans left over,
00:47there's always some green beans, always some mustard greens. Nobody ever finished a pot of
00:50mustard greens. You know what they finish first? The mac and cheese. You know what they go for
00:54seconds? The mac and cheese. You know why? Because it is literally the best tasting
00:59side dish for Thanksgiving ever. Mac and cheese is delicious. You can have like 30
01:04cheeses in there, you can have bacon in there, you can have broccoli if you want to go a little
01:08healthier route. You can do all kinds of mac and cheese and most of them are good
01:13if you know what you're doing. My favorite Thanksgiving food is stuffing slash dressing.
01:18I don't know the difference between them. Some people call it dressing, some people call it stuffing.
01:22I call it delicious. Basically you take the most delicious bread you have, you add, I don't even
01:28know like really how to make dressing or stuffing, I just eat it. But I think you add like a bunch of
01:33herbs and spices and whatever things that make bread taste good and then you bake it. I just feel like
01:41stuffing is an enlightened way to eat bread. You know you take this bread, you improve it, you bake it,
01:48and when it comes out of the oven it's just so like some parts of it are crispy, some parts of it are
01:56like soft. You get such a variety of texture. I am the child of immigrants so like what is Thanksgiving
02:05really? I don't really have a history of like really throwing down for Thanksgiving. Last Thanksgiving
02:10I left the country so it doesn't really mean that much to me. So I would say that my favorite
02:18Thanksgiving food, it's really not a Thanksgiving food because it's Thanksgiving. I just enjoy the
02:24holidays in general because it's when my mom stocks up on samosas. Yes girl! So samosas are these
02:33triangular puff pastry, fried type things that are filled with like meat or vegetables or potatoes.
02:40You probably have them at Indian restaurants. My family is Kenyan which is influenced heavily by
02:46Indian cuisine. So we eat samosas also. I believe East African samosas are superior. I don't really like
02:54potatoes and vegetables in my samosas. Just meat! Vegan mac and cheese is not mac and cheese. Mac and cheese
03:02made with yogurt is not mac and cheese. Mac and cheese that has runny sauce is not mac and cheese.
03:08Mac and cheese that doesn't have the bread crumbs on top, that little crust of cheese and bread crumbs
03:12that's browned and then you dig in and it's like cheese stringing up. If your mac and cheese don't do
03:18that it's not mac and cheese. I love mac and cheese because it's comforting. Cheese is the greatest
03:24thing we've ever gotten on this planet. Ever. It's better than air. Mac and cheese makes you feel warm.
03:32And loved. No one's ever mad eating mac and cheese. Um, no one's ever like, oh that's too much mac and cheese.
03:40If you make your mom a plate and you pile on mac and cheese and you put like a little bit of turkey
03:44and a little bit of that other crap that they served on Thanksgiving, she's not gonna be like,
03:48oh no, too much mac and cheese. Give me more beans. Nobody's ever asked for more beans.
03:53If you want to amp it up even further, you take your gravy and you pour it over your dressing
04:01and the dressing soaks up the gravy. To me, Thanksgiving is just like various methods of
04:07delivering gravy into my body. So stuffing is like the perfect way to do that. And then my favorite
04:15thing to do, as if it doesn't get any better, the day after Thanksgiving, you take leftover mashed
04:22potatoes and then you put turkey in and you put a little bit of cranberry just for a little tartness
04:28and then you put the stuffing on top and then you drown it in gravy and then you put that in the oven
04:34and the gravy like soaks all the way down through all of the layers and then at the top the stuffing
04:41gets like a little bit crispy and since it's all left over, like it tastes even better than the day
04:47before. I think that's my favorite part about Thanksgiving is the leftovers, honestly. But if
04:53I had just to choose one food, it would definitely be the stuffing. So my mom orders them from this local
04:58grandpa who you know moved to the states but he had a restaurant I think back in Kenya and so he'd be in
05:05the kitchen cooking up some samosas and we buy a big ziploc bag of like 50 samosas and we just blow
05:15through them thanks man. They are delicious, spicy, flavorful and I could eat just samosas. I feel like my
05:25ideal Thanksgiving dinner would be a bucket of mac and cheese and a pile of samosas and I feel like
05:33my intestines would hate me but I would love me, you know what I mean? I encourage you to you know
05:38maybe support your local Ethiopian restaurant, your local generically African restaurant and get you a
05:46samosa and see if we like it because I know you will. So that is the best ever Thanksgiving food. In the
