00:06his case do you think that was a merit thing or is this more tied to the black marks that
00:13are maybe on the patriots early 2000s yeah look a lot of people want to point to spygate or
00:23deflate gate or various scandals or lack of uh you know likability or people you know according to
00:33some that i've certainly spoken with over the years there's a lot of theorizing and that's all
00:38it is but it's a lot of theorizing that man people are like voters are are kind of appalled at the way
00:44that robert kraft has you know really campaigned for the pro football hall of fame it is very clearly
00:49important to him to be recognized by the hall in the way that some other owners are and by the way
00:55having owned the team since the early 90s and you know now appearing in
01:01what an 11th super bowl and having won six maybe seventh on the way and all the work that he has
01:07done in terms of various committees and you know really uh you know chairing the the media influence
01:14and and the way that the uh the the league has blown up as a media entity beyond the field almost
01:20single-handedly ending the lockout years ago with when he and jeff saturday went into a room and
01:26hashed everything out like it to me it's it's an unimpeachable case that robert kraft has to be in
01:31the hall of fame i i think and and this is not it's not like this fun take it's it's honestly it's it's
01:38pretty vanilla even for me uh but i i think that it just it really highlights how broken how flawed
01:47the voting process is for the pro football hall of fame you know the the rules are going to change
01:53guys you know the craft by himself would be one thing like an owner doesn't have to you know get
01:59in right away you can make him wait you can make him sweat you can you know those guys that are
02:04in the veterans committee ballot kind of thing that you know the sort of end of the line the
02:10ken anderson's of the world like yeah you can you can spread your votes out the way you want to but
02:14i think and we talked about this with belichick the the when bill belichick is not a first ballot
02:19hall of famer truly i mean it's it's so incredibly embarrassing it's laughable like what who is who what
02:25head coach is you know but if you have coaches never mind belichick if you have coaches competing
02:31for three votes across you know many candidates with players that are in this you know second leg
02:39committee if you will because they're they're on that next ballot that again you know last opportunity
02:44ballot in in a matter of speaking along with owners and like all of these guys are just pitted against
02:50one another it's just it's flawed it doesn't make a lick of sense coaches against coaches architects
02:56owners against each other players against players you you can you know go from there but you can't
03:02have all of these guys going against one another and have it work and i think to see both of these
03:07guys miss and you know maybe they go in together next year and i don't know when tom brady's eligible
03:12maybe that's next year the year after i'm not sure maybe they all go in together but the fact that
03:17this is going on the way it's going on even roger caddell has come out and say it's embarrassing
