Before Usher performed his three-night sold-out show in his hometown of Atlanta, he made a very special trip to the place that sparked his creativity: The Boys & Girls Club.

Usher celebrated the conclusion of his impactful 100-day Social Impact Tour with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Joseph B. Whitehead Boys & Girls Club in Atlanta, “The Spark Lab and Entertainment Industry Club” for youth. This initiative is part of his commitment to empowering young people through meaningful opportunities and workforce development.

00:00I'm happy that the work that I put in has led me to become an inspiration to so new people.
00:11This isn't just about the lab behind us. It isn't just about going to some great concerts.
00:17What happens behind the scenes is really the magic, where young people learn what professions,
00:22what careers, what job opportunities there are in this entire big industry around entertainment.
00:27And for that alone, 5,000 young people already this year have gained that experience
00:33thanks to Usher and Usher's New Look Foundation.
00:36I mean, it's very exciting. I give it a 10. It gives you better opportunities.
00:41You can't ask kids to aspire for excellence if you don't show them what excellence is.
00:46And that's why I know Usher and Usher's New Look was so thoughtful about, first of all, where we put it,
00:53and then second of all, how it looked and making sure that the equipment was top of the line,
00:59making sure that, you know, it inspired youth when they literally walked into the space.
01:05Yeah, so you're in southeast Atlanta that has, that's been historically disinvested.
01:09What we know is that young people will rise to the expectations that we have with them.
01:13And a safe space like this allows young people to see opportunities,
01:17to be able to come into a space like this and to have their creative juices flowing.
01:23So for me, I jumped into the sea, being raised by an entire village.
01:28Others, my mother, my grandmother, my grandfather, my father wasn't there.
01:34Nonetheless, nobody else will keep me.
01:39But the Boys and Girls Club welcomed me with open arms and was a motivational place for me to be.
01:44And thanks for having me.
01:49And after we got comin into the small sects, I decided before Austin came to
02:05all,
02:06y'all love your mother or other people,
02:10like,
02:11you
