Odessa "OJ" Jenkins speaks on building the Women's National Football League.
Transcript
00:00When you talk about building a national football league for women, what's the biggest barrier to
00:07entry that you encountered? And what's the biggest level of success that you feel you've
00:11experienced so far? Sure. You know, most people would think the barrier is the girls, the women
00:16themselves trying to find women who play football where hundreds and thousands of women are there.
00:20So the women and girls are there, which is nice. The biggest barrier is resources. I think
00:26there's limited awareness and limited storytelling. But that comes because the dollars aren't there
00:33yet, right? Where there's dollars, there are cameras. Where there are cameras, there are brands,
00:39where there are brands, right? Begets, begets, begets. And so I think the biggest hurdle is going to be
00:46how to continue to be strategic, to have brands latch on to the idea of women playing tackle
00:54and flag football. And then finding investors, right? Finding investors that see women's sports
01:02as a smart investment and continue to grab at that.
