00:00There's a lot of people out here. I don't know if y'all seen that line, right?
00:03So we want to make sure that we're moving efficiently, that our energy is on 100.
00:07We are not looking scattered. We got it together.
00:09We're making sure that they have the Atlanta experience in Brooklyn. Heard?
00:13Heard!
00:25I'm so excited about the evolution of the brand, right?
00:28When you think about how a black woman from East Baltimore started a concept in her bedroom and now has grown it to a multi-million dollar company.
00:38My company is valued at $100 million. And as a black woman, you don't see that very often.
00:44So I get to be the example for so many people who look like me.
00:48And to be able to do it in Brooklyn, in this iconic neighborhood that's legendary.
00:53And I got beat you on the side of the building and like, you can't get it no better than that.
00:57So it's just been a blessing and I'm just happy to be here.
01:00Yes, we sell burgers, pies, and fries.
01:02But when you think about Slutty Vegan, we're building an ecosystem.
01:06We're sharing community and helping community.
01:08And we're bringing all people together in the name of food, right?
01:12So I like to think of this business as a marketing company that so happens to sell burgers, fries, and pies that fosters opportunities for people to be whatever they want to be.
01:21So I check off all the marks.
01:24I'm getting money.
01:25I'm giving money.
01:26I'm helping people.
01:27People are feeling like they have the support that they need.
01:30And that's the reason why this business continues to grow and be successful.
01:33Pinky Carr is a boss.
01:34She's the best.
01:35She's a pit bull, really, but she cares for the company, cares for the people, cares for the community.
01:41And she really is passionate just about creating a better food option for us because she really wants a better food option for herself.
01:48So everything she says, she means.
01:50We really like working here.
01:51Like, this is the first environment where I can say it's like a judge-free zone.
01:55What's up, y'all?
01:56It's your girl Gooey Ooey.
01:57And we in New York, Brooklyn with the vibes.
01:59So this is the perfect place to be slutty all around.
02:03It's good for you, 100% plant-based.
02:06And it's just like, you know, paving the way.
02:09Do a good deed to yourself.
02:10That's really what it's about.
02:11Self-care.
02:12We giving out self-care out here.
02:14If you want to come and work for Slutty Vegan and you're just looking for a job, this ain't the place for you.
02:18You got to want to be here.
02:20You got to want to help me build this empire.
02:22You got to have the same ethos as me.
02:24If your energy is not authentic like mine, I don't want you here.
02:26You can't work here.
02:27If you want a paycheck every Friday, this ain't the place to be.
02:30I need somebody that wants to help me to build a billion-dollar brand that will be an idea.
02:36People will read about this one day in history books.
02:39And if you want to be a part of the mission, then yes, you can come on to Slutty Vegan Train.
02:43But if you can't, you just got to watch from the sidelines.
02:46Supporting my girl Pinky and just watching a black woman open up another location of her own business in Brooklyn.
02:54You know, my character Tasha from Power, this is my, like, home.
02:59So I was really, really happy to support the love, the energy, Brooklyn, B.I.G., everybody's in the midst.
03:06So the fact that Slutty Vegan is here is a game changer.
03:09So I'm really happy to support.
03:10I have been sluttified.
03:12Ooh, that one-night stand, though, is so good.
03:15And I'm not necessarily vegan, I have to be honest.
03:18But when I tried a Slutty Vegan Burger, I was like, I'm about to change my life.
03:23And that's how good the food is, but it feels like it's made with love.
03:27So that's one of the reasons I support her brand.
03:30We pray every single time we open up a Slutty Vegan.
03:33Because I don't know, whatever God you believe in, I want you to believe in something or somebody.
03:37If you believe in a damn rock, I don't care.
03:39But I want you to listen and believe in the spirit of something.
03:43Because at the end of the day, that's what keeps us.
03:45And I need to lead with that.
03:46I want my restaurant to feel blessed every time people walk through the door.
03:50And prayer does that.
03:51I just had a baby two months ago, so I'm still very emotional.
03:54But on top of all of that, I'm never too big to be humble.
04:00Do you understand what I mean when I say that?
04:01I don't care how much money I got in the bank.
04:03I don't care how many accolades I got.
04:06I will never be too big to be humble.
04:08So it never gets old to me.
04:10So when I get on location 100, I'm going to cry.
04:13When I get on location 250, I'm going to cry.
04:16Because I know at the end of the day, just like God has given this to me, he can take it away.
04:19And I never take that for granted.
04:21So when you see those tears, those are tears of joy and happiness.
04:25Because I know that God could have gave it to anybody in the world, but he gave it to me.
04:28And I will not take that for granted.
04:30There's so many great things happening for Slutty Vegan.
04:33I'm actually announcing another location next week.
04:38And I can't tell you where, but that's all I'm going to tell you.
04:41And it might be in New York, it might not be.
04:43But it's a really, really, really iconic location in addition to what we already have here.
04:48I got a cookbook coming out in November called Eat Plants, Bitch.
04:53We just did our Steve Madden deal and sold out in 48 hours.
04:58We just did the lip bar and sold out in a week.
05:02I'm just about collaboration.
05:03I said 2022 is the year of collaboration.
05:06So I want to get next to people that are moving and shaking like we're moving and shaking.
05:11I want to be in a room with people who want to win like I want to win.
05:14So when you ask me what's happening next to Slutty Vegan, we got a lot in store.
05:18You just got to hold them to your seatbelt and stay tuned.
