An increase of up to twenty pence will take effect on the first of May, following a vote by members of the North East Combined Authority cabinet at a meeting in Blyth. Under the new charges, the Class Two toll for cars, vans and buses weighing less than three point five tonnes will rise by ten pence to two pounds sixty pence.
