00:00I am so excited to be standing next to Lynne Sisson-Talbert.
00:09She is the producer of that incredibly magical Netflix film, Jingle Jangle, A Christmas Journey.
00:16Lynne, how are you doing?
00:17I'm doing fabulous. Thank you.
00:19Absolutely. Now, we're moments away from the most earth-shattering, incredible performance.
00:25And I know y'all all at home have been waiting for this.
00:28Are they ready?
00:30They ain't ready. They are not ready for this.
00:32I don't know if you guys are ready, but it's going to be so incredible.
00:35So, I just want to talk a little bit about this film.
00:39How does it feel to be a part of creating something that very well my grandchildren could be enjoying and create this?
00:47Like, why shouldn't we have our own Black Christmas universe?
00:51Yes.
00:52Like, how does that feel?
00:52It feels amazing, and it was the mission all along.
00:56My husband, David E. Talbert, wrote and directed it.
00:58This was a 20-year passion project that we did together, and it's so important to us because we wanted to create that holiday classic piece for our kids and our grandkids because we didn't have that growing up.
01:10You know, and so it was important to us that it be an original piece because a lot of times there's a lot of remakes, and it's time for us to have our original stories told, right?
01:19I love that, Lynn.
01:21So, now we're bringing this experience in partnership with Essence, Westfield, and Walmart to everybody for this Christmas season.
01:29What was the vision behind this real-life experience?
01:33The vision is to make Jingle Jangle a part of our holidays forever.
01:37You know, we're working on so many different things.
01:39We have this beautiful activation, and thank you to Essence and Westfield and Walmart.
01:43And it's about having the spirit of anything is possible.
01:48Oh, I love that.
01:49You know, so it's about believing.
01:51It's about hope, faith, love, all the things that I believe we need to cherish more, especially now.
01:56And that's what we want to push.
01:59That's what we want to create, and that's what we want people to feel.
02:03Oh, and that is so important.
02:05What's next for Jingle Jangle?
02:07Can you give us a little bit?
02:07I give you a little bit.
02:08We are working on Jingle Jangle live on stage, which I'm so excited.
02:14We have Jingle Jangle books.
02:16We have Jingle Jangle merchandising.
02:18And so, like I said, it's about I want to be wearing my Jingle Jangle pajamas and my Jingle Jangle bedding, you know?
02:23Absolutely.
02:24So, that's what it's about because so many other titles do that.
02:27But I want my son and your daughter to see people that look like them and to be able to know that they can do it, too.
02:35And that, again, anything's possible.
