00:00Now, Wikipedia says you were interested in acting
00:03from watching Radio Flyer.
00:05But, OK, I was like, Wiki's been failing.
00:07It's real.
00:08No, no.
00:09Everything, you know, it's funny because I sometimes go on Wiki
00:11and I'll see different parts of my bio that are not true.
00:14And I'll just go, I don't even know who put that in there
00:18or where they pulled it from.
00:19But, sure.
00:20OK.
00:21On them, I'll take it.
00:24But that one is true.
00:25Radio Flyer did inspire me to want to act,
00:27in film specifically.
00:29OK.
00:29What was it about the movie?
00:31You know, it's funny because, and I tell this story all the time,
00:34but there was, and I'm going to call my mom out on this.
00:38And there was a summer where my mom was working.
00:40And that's not the bad part.
00:41I was actually able to be at home by myself at the time.
00:43So, you know, child social services
00:45don't need to do any retroactive inspections.
00:47She was OK.
00:47She left me at home when I was with age.
00:50But there was a time when she was working.
00:53She was a single mom.
00:54And she was working.
00:54And consistently, when I got off summer camp or whatever,
00:57I had to go home and I had to stay home.
00:58And when I was at home, we didn't have a full cable assortment.
01:05We had, I grew up in this, I grew up in Los Angeles.
01:08And the Rouse close to me had a guy that sat outside.
01:12And he said, his name was K-Bull.
01:15OK.
01:16And he had a business card that said K-Bull.
01:18And he'd hand it to you, he'd say, I'll do you K-Bull.
01:21And they got the number on the back.
01:22Wow.
01:23So you called K-Bull.
01:26And he'd show up, splice those wires, and all of a sudden,
01:29you get cable from wherever you got cable from.
01:32So, you know, my mom being on the budget, she made sure we had cable.
01:35And it worked.
01:36It worked at the time.
01:39You know, she was, she made sure I was at home when I needed to be,
01:41but she made sure the cable wasn't completely free.
01:44Balance.
01:45Balance.
01:46Balance.
01:47Yeah.
01:48But yeah, so at the time, I remember we got Nickelodeon Cartoon Network.
01:54And I don't know if she specified, but I remember we got Nickelodeon Cartoon Network,
01:58all of the Showtimes, and all of the HBO.
02:00So it was the only channels we got.
02:02OK.
02:03In the K-Bull package, that was it.
02:07So at the time, Radio Flyer, I think it might have just came out at the time.
02:11And that was the only movie that played in repetition on HBO.
02:17So every day I got home and every time before I go to bed, you know, HBO,
02:21sometimes I play it every three, four hours, East West, whatever.
02:24So after a while, just to keep myself entertained,
02:26I would sit my chairs up in my room and watch the movie and say the lines of each chair.
02:32So I'd sit in a chair and say it as if I was talking to one character.
02:35Oh, wow.
02:36Sit in a line and say it as if.
02:37That's why I'm so good at close-ups, because I'm so used to just not talking to no one
02:40and having a look at the cameras.
02:42Wow, that's crazy.
02:44Right?
02:44Yeah, so we did.
02:46So I would always do that, and then that's what spawned the inspiration for acting.
02:54Oh, wow.
