00:58So, you're typically known for playing kind of gangster roles, things of that nature.
01:05How does it feel to kind of be switching gears and playing somebody with a straight job,
01:09a lawyer, even though you do still have some edge on the show?
01:13It's fun, challenging.
01:14I mean, I've done all that gangster stuff to get to this point.
01:18I'm very happy that stars and Courtney and 50 gave me the opportunity to challenge myself, and hopefully I did it justice.
01:26Well, you definitely did a lot of justice in season one.
01:29Are you excited for season two and the things you have coming up?
01:32Are there twists and turns coming for your character, or what can we expect from you?
01:35Not too many twists, but a lot of turns.
01:37As people already know, Redman is coming on to play my brother on the show, which is great because now we see that Davis has a backstory.
01:44He does have a life outside of Tariq in the courtroom and sex.
01:48And I love how they're exploring that.
01:51You know, as a character, you want things of that nature, especially with a cast so big and so many different storylines.
01:58It feels great to have your own.
01:59And how does it feel to be teaming up with Redman in such a different capacity than you had before and at a different juncture in your life?
02:06Doing, you know, bringing a different type of story to the people through the screen.
02:10We've worked so much together, it becomes clockwork.
02:13It's like we can basically finish each other's sentences.
02:15So Courtney knew what she was doing when she brought us both together.
02:18You know, she just wanted instant chemistry and she got it.
02:22Now, how was it for you?
02:23Are you super familiar with filming a lot of, I know you had like some love scenes last season.
02:29Will there be more of that or do you get nervous about things of that nature?
02:33I don't get nervous about it.
02:34My body looks great at 50, man.
02:36I'm pretty cut, you know, humbly speaking.
02:40Agreed.
02:41I just have to leave that open right now.
02:46But if the fans requested, I'm pretty sure because the power team over there, they're very, they have their ears to the streets.
02:55And a lot of times fans input makes a lot of sense and it ends up in the show.

03:01Now, you are working with a relatively young cast on this show in some intervals.
03:04Do any of them turn to you for advice and mentorship being that, you know, you're a veteran in the industry?
03:10I don't know.
03:10I'm the most immature person on that set.

03:16And if you know anything about Michael, he's a very old soul.
03:19He carries himself very well.
03:20He has a great support system as well as us.
03:23He's our number one on the call sheet.
