00:22Um, just want to ask you a little bit about Adam's Family 2, what drew you to this film?
00:26I know you're a father and a grandfather now, and this is a nice family flick for the children.
00:31So what made you attracted to this role? I believe you're playing Cousin It.
00:35Well, I was in part one, so, you know, to be in part two was an easy call, so to speak.
00:42And then I had a good time doing it. I had a good time involving my family and my friends and, you know,
00:47the little kids in my football league that, you know, love the Addams family and just love the whole dynamics of watching movies like that,
00:54that are sort of kind of animated with voices in that nature.
00:58So it gave me a chance to just really diversify my portfolio and do things that I've always wanted to do in the kids space
01:05and not have to, like, not try to change my, you know, persona or who I am, but still remain me,
01:12but do some things that the kids can actually enjoy. So it was an easy call for me.
01:17And you have a pretty iconic voice. This is instantly recognizable, at least for our generation.
01:22How do you get into character for a role like this one?
01:28Now, this is crazy, because Cousin It, you don't understand nothing he's saying.
01:31So, you know, and I kept getting into, you know, little battles because I was like,
01:36why do I got to do a voiceover when nobody's going to understand what he's saying?
01:40But I got a feeling that they're going to do some sort of trick where when you get the movie and take it home,
01:46you could play it back and it'll say what I'm saying.
01:49When you play it backwards, it'll say what I'm saying forward.
01:51Oh, wow. That's cute.
01:54So do your grandchildren, have you shown them the films?
01:58No, they're going to the premiere with me.
02:00You know, them and my football team, let them go see it.
02:03I don't even tell them I'm in the movie. I just let it, like, I let it happen.
02:06You know what I'm saying? Where either they hear my voice or see me and they'd be like,
02:10you know, they react to that.
02:11I don't ever say, hey, y'all come to this movie and I'm in.
02:14I say, let's go to a movie.
02:15And when they watch it, then they see me and they go crazy.
02:17And I take it they know it's you off grip, of course.
02:21Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
02:23Especially my grandson. He quick to say, that's you, Papa Snoop.
02:27Did you do everything independently or did you work with any of the co-stars going back and forth in the booth where the voiceovers?
02:34The voiceovers, there was a couple of days where there were some people in there with me.
02:39But then the majority was me just doing it by myself.
02:42Because, like, a lot of my sayings was, you know, like I say, people would understand what I was saying.
02:47So I had to get off into knowing what I was doing.
02:50But I did work with a couple of the actors to make sure that we had that, you know, back and forth.
02:55What is the process of them getting you to talk backwards?
02:57Do they just tell you what the lines are?
03:00Do they revert? Do you talk regular and they reverse it?
03:03Do you talk regular and they reverse it?
03:06But at the same time, it's the pitch.
03:08It's like the way I talk now.
03:11It's like,
03:12With a higher pitch.
03:16So when they do reverse and spin it back, when you're hearing me sound like.
