01:14i just you know i'm just really glad that it's you know you know i would have done this you know some
01:20years ago okay i'm happy that you know i see that one of us has turned over you know not the old fogies
01:27that were there you know when i was there um you know a lot of good you know young um you know modern
01:38thinkers yeah um so i'm happy to you know be you know part of this whole thing it's really great you
01:47know yeah the other people and it's gonna be my one i love that too yeah yeah um and i'm i'm sure
01:55you know you have a long and luscious catalog of asking you for a favorite song with me too hard
02:01but are there any songs from you know epiphany that really resonate with you right now you know where
02:06you are in life uh i do know um ain't nobody anybody's on there yes that's an all-time favorite
02:13of mine okay i gotta say i i that's one song i still love to sing on stage so okay we can say that
02:21that song is still live yeah yeah you know and talking about oh forward thinking you know and when
02:29you put out feel for you you were one of the first um you know artists to have a crossover hit with the
02:35rapper on the track with with melie mel on there was it your idea to put him on the song actually no
02:42it was not it was i was martin was my producer he produced
02:50a lot of people a great great um producer okay he was like an uncle to me and um it was his idea i hated
02:59the idea let me say because i recorded this song one night came back the next night after that you
03:08know just to hear it and he said he had a surprise for me okay and i hate surprises so i said okay uh
03:16what's that he played it and i hear this guy say my name over and over again you know that smack and
03:22so and so i was like oh god do i ever live this now or can i live with this and um turns out it
03:31turned out to be something really special yeah so are there any rappers today you can imagine if
03:39they called you and said could you sing on my track would you say okay i don't know they have to call
03:46me first and i have to look at look at what they're doing and then i say yes or no okay i like a few
03:51rappers okay i just have to see you know i i'm i'm very careful about you know who i work with yeah
04:01you know when music you know has really been getting us through the pandemic uh you know we had dj d
04:06nice having a whole little bit versus battles you know have come out and really saved us during this
04:12time have you seen any of the person one or two okay would you be down to to go on versus and and
04:20is there anyone you could see yourself going on there with well i'm thinking about doing maybe jasmine
04:27sullivan or something like that i would i would prefer to do something like that with a younger artist
04:33you know and we could go we could be more multi-dimensional you know yeah it's a flat you
04:42know surface of the same people from the same time in uh area you know i think that it needs
04:48us a little bit more dimension and i would i would yeah i would consider that okay i was um searching on uh
04:57twitter to see you know who people were throwing out there i'm gonna just throw the names out they said
05:01anita baker uh tina turner they would love to see and diana rocks if it was too bad yeah
05:12you know we're also in this area with a lot of biopics are coming out the holiday's project is
05:18coming um have you thought about i'm working i'm working i'm working on a biopic thing okay nice
05:26in the in the beginning stage right now okay we're gathering information and stuff like that you
05:35know and we uh we pretty much know what we're going to do it with um and we just just really gathering a
05:42lot of stuff now and you know in the beginnings okay how's the process been for you well you know i think
05:49i think it's going to be you know i would compare it not having done it yet i would compare it um
05:58to something like when i wrote when i wrote the book you know anything that i wrote you know i think
06:05it's going to be really you know lethargic for me i'm going to i'm going to really be like i have to
06:11like dig back with my life and you know it's going to be interesting it's a great journey yeah you
06:18know but it's it's also very it takes a lot you know out of you yeah and it puts a lot into you as
06:26well yeah yeah it's a journey to do something like that since you look at your life yeah are there any
06:34actresses you have in mind to portray you oh only my daughter okay well congrats you know on this
