00:03be out in this heat so I want to get something that's cool good to go. So I
00:07initially got my braids on because I have a big fro and I had a feeling that
00:11with the New Orleans humidity my fro would just be all over the place and
00:14probably a mess. I decided to get a new color and try something different. I
00:18heard blondes have more fun so I'm here to find out if that's true really. These
00:22are actually crocheted locks instead of like the individuals and it's a lot easier
00:27to see the style it's super duper light this brand that I got is amazing and I
00:32got tons of compliments on it and I just absolutely love it. So I've been getting
00:36braids since I was a little girl since I was about five or six it's been
00:39definitely a rites of passage and so I was like what's the perfect hairstyle for
00:43New Orleans Essence Fest I decided to get braids I think that they're they're
00:46perfect they're convenient they're a beautiful expression of being a black
00:49woman and your style your creativity. So what basically inspired me is that I
00:53have super thick hair as you can see and with the humidity that's in New
00:57Orleans I wanted something that could be practical that would still show a
01:01little bit of edginess and cute but give me the daily functionality that I needed.
