00:01What makes this special for me to be at Essence Festival is to finally be a main stage performer.
00:07I've been a couple of times, I did a Superlounge show that was, you know, I was told was one of the best ones ever.
00:13And my fans have been, you know, like, when is she gonna hit the main stage?
00:17So I'm glad that they finally invited me and we are ready.
00:20Tonight is, I think, special because it's my set.
00:32I've gotten my show and my band, you know, to the point where I've been performing a lot.
00:37They kind of got a good synergy up there.
00:39We have a good time, so I'm excited for them to see it.
00:42I'm really doing, you know, not even half of my show, but it's easy because I got a lot of hits.
00:52So all I got to do is 30 minutes worth of hits, you know what I mean?
00:55And, you know, keep them, keep them rocking.
00:58The Clark Sisters thing, I mean, I almost wish that was the only thing I'm doing this weekend because, you know, they are very special to me.
01:05That's like my vocal bible.
01:07I studied them probably before anybody else.
01:09And so it's always a pleasure to do anything with and for them.
01:14The Puff Show, you know, that's gonna be a lot.
01:18But I only have to do my couple songs, so that's good.
01:21It'll be fun though.
