00:00Shuri so I play the girl that does this but you're gonna see a lot more. I slowed down the clip to watch it again. You'll see a lot more in the film. I play Princess Shuri, T'Challa's younger sister. She's next in line to be the Black Panther but right now she's 18. She loves technology. She loves you know fashion and clothes and she's into graffiti.
00:26She's just an intelligent beautiful black girl and I got the chance to play that so God is good man. It's amazing.
00:34So what did that mean for you playing a black scientist in the Black Panther? What was that like?
00:40What it meant for me was it was something that's refreshing. You know we don't see a lot of young black girls wanting to be a part of technology and create stuff.
00:50You don't see that so when the part came about and when Ryan you know wrote the script the way he did with Joe it was an amazing thing.
00:58It was refreshing. It was something that is like man we need to see more of this.
01:02And I want like little girls and boys to be able to come out the cinema and be like yo mom I want to be a scientist.
01:09I want to use my mind to be innovative. I want to build my country. So hopefully this film does that. Hopefully.
01:17How was it filming with Ryan Coogler and Chadwick? What were some like fun stories or even inspiring ones?
01:25For me it was it was it was a dream come true. You know Chadwick is a very good guy. He has a really good soul really good heart.
01:35And Ryan oh my days the first time I met him he was like hey what's your partners call you?
01:41I was like well my partners call me Tish. And he was he just treated me like a normal person.
01:47You know he just loved on me you know and he treated me like I could like a young student you know and he's the master.
01:54And he just taught me a lot on set and he took time to talk to me and Chad you know he had so much to do.
01:59Being Black Panther is not easy. So there were moments you know in between takes I'll go up to him I'll give him a hug.
02:07You know just tell him that I loved him. You know just for him. Just for him. Just for our brother and sister vibe.
02:14So working with them was a blessing. Chad is a beast that's what he does.
02:18You know there's no coincidence that he's playing you know Jackie Robinson or James Brown.
02:25You know he's a he's a very intelligent brother and he has a heart and a soul.
02:29So when you go to see this film he's gonna give you everything. He's gonna give you everything.
02:34So all of we will. We will all give you everything but yeah he'll give you a lot.
