00:32a lot of people aren't aware of. Sometimes you get that goiter which is that giant Adam's apple
00:38which I think is the most obvious thing that people see but what people don't understand is
00:43that thyroid disease is also related to Graves disease which is what the elder Mrs. Bush remember
00:49Barbara Bush back in the day that's the muscles behind your eyes. This doesn't happen to everybody
00:53but I happen to have Graves disease so I have to make a concerted effort in conversation
00:57so I'm not trying to give you the screw face. I just don't want to give you the scary stare.
01:02Oh yes. So the pressure the muscle pressure behind the eyes kind of pushes them forward just a bit
01:08and there's nothing that you can do about it. You know I've already gone to ask you know what can
01:13this be done. My tear ducts have untucked and so I've got a little frog-like bump under each.
01:20Yeah it's pressure. Well we can't see that but you also have thinning hair.
01:22But the other part is is that you can you can get thinning hair. Not everybody with thyroid disease
01:28has thinning hair. For me my thyroid is high. Oh it's been regular for so long.
01:33I know it's so confusing. The one where you lose the weight. Right. You lose the hair. So you went to
01:39wigs and isn't it life-changing? Well I'm not bald. Right. I didn't lose the hair. Okay it's thinning.
01:44But mine thins after kids by the way. So I've always had. You should see what's underneath this.
01:49Oh. It is unbelievable. It's coming in thicker. No it's crazy. I call it crazy hair. No it's so good.
