A Young Chicago Woman Has Lost 23 Loved Ones to Gun Violence. She Wants You To See Their Faces

00:00My name is Camila Williams. I'm 28 years old. I'm from Chicago. I lived on the south and east side,
00:10and I lost 22 friends, loved ones, I'ma say, to gun violence. When my cousin Porsche was murdered,
00:20I didn't know if I was coming, if I was going. Like, I didn't want to eat. It was just awful.
00:27I couldn't sleep. The wall that's at St. Sabina, it was something that the youth all wanted to do to
00:35raise awareness about gun violence. I paid homage and respect to my loved ones that's on the wall.
00:43I made sure my loved ones was up there. I just want them to be remembered just like anybody else.
00:49That's Shay, for Shay Foster. I know a lot of times because I'm fighting for gun sins,
00:55it's so difficult for me to kind of talk about Porsche. Like, my cousin Porsche is hard.

01:13I mean, the whole feeling of it is just, just talking about it got my stomach in knots. It's making me angry
01:21that this country failed to address gun violence as a whole.

01:36Fort Hood, Tucson should be the same energy talking about Chicago, talking about New York,
01:46talking about Cleveland, talking about Baltimore.
