00:00So what sets Survivor's Remorse apart from shows like The Game and Ballers?
00:07Well, we don't really show gameplay on Survivor's Remorse. It's more so about the
00:12lifestyle of being a professional athlete, not so much, you know, the in-game aspect of it.
00:16So what you see more of is how being, you know, the number one star in whatever sport that you're
00:23in, and in this case, it's basketball. It's more so like what that means to you as a person.
00:28And your family and friends. And your family, of course. And, you know, and the people around you is more so what Survivor's Remorse is about.
00:33And you guys have tackled some pretty big issues in season one. There was racism, child abuse, sexual orientation.
00:39Are there any hot button topics that you could share, like any teasers that you're going to address in season two?
00:44Yeah, we touch a little bit on, you know, some like domestic issues that happens, you know, within the household.
00:51And, of course, now the second season is taking place during the season, so there's a lot that has to do with the press.
00:58And, you know, having to deal with people like, you know, trying to be, you know,
01:02I don't like the way you gesture towards me, like people like me.
01:05You know what I'm just saying?
01:06Because all I did, you know, I just want to welcome you into space.
01:09So that's all I was trying to do.
01:11And, you know, on Survivor's Remorse, you have a lot of strong female characters in this cast.
01:15I mean, I'm not going to say we're not going to tell anybody because we are on Essence.com.
01:19But who do you think is the strongest female character on Survivor's Remorse?
01:22They're all strong in their own way.
01:24It's like, you know, Tashina has like a very strong comedic presence and so does Erica Ashe.
01:28But it's like a different, you know, it's a different type of comedy.
01:31And then Tiana comes in and she brings like what you would expect from a strong woman in general to her character.
01:37So, I mean, they're all strong in their own way.
01:39So I couldn't say who's stronger than, you know what I mean?
01:43Safe. Smart man.
01:45Of course. My mama raised me right.
01:47Yes, she did.
