00:00Now what we're going to do is create what I like to call the four-piece braided chignon.
00:10And what we're going to do with that is we're going to brush the hair through smoothly,
00:15bringing everything to the back like so.
00:18What we're going to do now is secure that.
00:21Now this time we want this elastic to be secured at least three times because this is going to be your base
00:27because we're going to go back in and we're going to use hair pins to secure these braids as we make them.
00:33After you've done that, brush your hair through and separate the hair into four subsections.
00:40One, two, three, four. Now we have four subsections.
00:47We're going to braid each subsection all the way down to the end.
00:52And you don't have to make it really neat because we're going to make it kind of fun
00:56and like an organized mess when we're done.
00:59So what we're going to do is braid it to the end and we want to use elastics to secure the end as well.
01:05Now that we're done, secure it with an elastic on the end.
01:12Moving on to the second braid.
01:16And what's good to do with this is if you're doing this in the mirror, I mean in your bathroom,
01:22get another mirror so that you can see the back of your hair as well, so that you can have two mirrors
01:27because you want to be able to make sure that it's neat.
01:29You don't want to go out and someone sees it and be like, well, what's going on?
01:32You want it to look really nice, really cute, pretty, and kind of like, oh, this old thing.
01:38But you know you're going to put your work into it.
01:40Secure with an elastic. Why do we want to secure with an elastic?
01:45Because we don't want it to unravel. If it unravels, then it's going to come apart.
01:50And you don't want to be looking like a looker.
01:53One. So we're going to braid it, part it into four.
01:58Fun, easy, simple plaiting. That's all.
02:01And you want to embrace you, your most gorgeous you.
02:04So whatever your texture is, embrace that.
02:06And if you don't have enough hair, you too can still, as I showed you earlier, use the clip-in hair extension.
02:13Or you can buy the ponytail, clip-on ponytail, and use it and make it work.
02:18One thing about hair that I love is if you don't have it, you can always buy it.
02:22And now we've almost had four braids. This is where the fun begins.
02:27We're almost finished braiding this all the way down to the end.
02:33And remember, four plaids is what we're creating.
02:38And if you want it to be sleek, you can always use a little of your product that you may use at home.
02:43Any of your shine products. You can always put edge control or anything that helps smooth out your edges.
02:50You can use that on the end.
02:53Now we have four plaids. This is where the fun begins.
02:57So the first plaid we're going to take and wrap around because this will be the plaid we use to secure all of the other plaids.
03:07Using a bobby pin, I'm going to put that in the hair and that's going to create a nice base.
03:15Then we're going to take another plaid and go loosely around that.
03:19But we're going to now use hair pins because hair pins are going to give us what we need so that we can tuck it into place.
03:27Using hair pins, tucking it into place and hiding away some of the parts that you don't want to see.
03:35Now with your third plaid, you can actually open it up some because that's going to create the texture you need to make your braid actually a little bigger.
03:48Now we want to hide the elastics that you may see.
03:52And then we're going in with our final braid and tucking it as so.
03:56And you can go in any direction you feel necessary that's good for you.
04:05Now what we have is our braid pretty much established.
04:09And our Shin Young is ready to be tussled.
04:12So now you can take your hair pins, go in, hide, make it fuller, make it bigger, make it you, make it your most gorgeous you, embrace you.
04:25And then when you go out, this look is perfect with a nice evening gown or something very dressy.
04:32If you have something very flowery or something that has ruffles or anything of that nature, this is really good because it's nice and sleek but it still has some texture to it.
04:42And that's our nice braided Shin Young.
