Transcript
00:00Hey Essence Beauties, I'm senior beauty editor Tasha Turner.
00:03We are here with Suzette Boozer of the Sulon Hair Studios in Brooklyn, New York and today
00:08she's going to show us how to do the fishtail braid.
00:18First thing that you want to do is add a cream to silken the hair so that you can have your
00:23braid neat, eliminating flyaways.
00:28The second thing you would do is actually separate your hair in two sections, evenly
00:33parted on each side.
00:36Third, you would basically take smaller strands from each section and you will cross it over
00:44into an X.
00:46As you overlap, you hold each smaller section and you can use a different strand of hair
00:51to come back and cross over again in the same separated beginning section.
01:02If you're unable to go all the way down when the hair becomes more thinner, what you would
01:24do is add a rubber band to the ends, you just tease it out.
01:31I hope that you had a great explanation on how to create your own fishtail and good luck.
01:36Good luck!
01:37Good luck!
