00:00Hey, Taraji from Atlanta. I have a few actually. Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson,
00:21Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Earth, Wind & Fire. I mean some incredible artists. A lot
00:29from the 70s and a little early on. What's up Erica from South Carolina. Yes, both of
00:39my parents are ministers and my reason for not singing gospel is I feel that you have
00:45to be 100 percent when you sing about what the song is all about, the intent, the emotions
00:53of the record. You really have to live that lifestyle. And being that I'm sort of out in
00:58this R&B world, it's a little tough for me right now. But you probably will hear me on
01:02a record or two in the near future. All right?
01:05What's up Candace from North Carolina. I was brought up in church. A lot of you know this.
01:15And I carry that a lot with me, you know, just everywhere I go. And the people who I meet,
01:19it's about doing unto others as you would want them to do unto you. So I think a lot of that
01:23goes just helps out my career a lot. You know, people tend to gravitate towards someone who
01:29is a lot nicer as opposed to someone who's a little bit more arrogant. And I try to stay
01:34humble. And I count my blessings every day. All right? Thanks for the question.
01:39I had a great time working with Case, doing Faded Pictures. It's one of the songs I didn't
01:49want to give up. But, you know, it worked out. I mean, we had a great time recording the record
01:54and did a great video. I look forward in the future to doing some more collaborations and
02:00definitely in the R&B world. You know, a little bit more in the R&B world. And I'd love to do
02:04a song with a female artist. I think that would be great.
02:13I guess I should show them now since you said that.
02:16Melissa from Orlando. Wow. Thank you. Thank you for the compliment. You know, I have a doctor
02:23who I see every once in a while as well. You know, he gives me a nice little cleaning. And,
02:29you know, every morning you got to make sure you get in that mirror and embrace it. And
02:34I'm going to brush him up. Other than that, I mean, I don't know. I mean, I don't go crazy
02:38with too many negative and bad things that, you know, you put into your body that I guess
02:43that would have an effect on changing the complexion of your teeth. But, I don't know. You know,
02:49I still eat everything I want and I enjoy my life. So, I don't know. Thanks for the question,
02:53though.
02:54Well, it's been going on for quite a while now. I mean, I've heard about the Essence Festival
03:02for a long time. Just wanted to be a part of it was my energy back in the day. And,
03:09now, last year I had a chance to hit up the McDonald's Cafe portion of the festival and
03:15had an incredible time. So, I'm looking forward to hitting it up again this year.
03:23Okay.
03:24Hold on.
03:25Okay.
