00:00Ghost story. Sam's big chance to exorcise his Patriots demons. I think we need to brace ourselves
00:05for one of the biggest comeback stories in NFL history. This dude can legit go from being laughed
00:11at for seeing ghosts to a Super Bowl champ and then being called a Ghostbuster. If the Seahawks
00:17beat New England and he plays well, then I think we need to redefine the definition of a bust.
00:23October 19th, 2019. What was that, six years ago? We all saw and heard this man at his lowest moment
00:31in his career in an awful performance against the New England Patriots.
00:40Then we blamed him over the franchise and we called him and stamped a bust on him like a tattoo on the
00:49lower back of some chick partying in Cancun on spring break. Look, it's the NFL. A player gets
00:56the last live by winning, especially a quarterback. But most of the time we use wins over numbers and
01:02stats at that position unless it's Jalen Hurts. And he's got a chance for some get back. This isn't
01:07Bill Belichick's Patriots. He was 0 for 4 against those Patriots with only one touchdown compared to
01:13nine INTs and a 41.2 passer rating. 2025 Patriots defense, yeah, they're still top 10. They're good.
01:20But who are you going to call on Sunday? Not Ghostbusters, Sam Darno. And at the Super Bowl
01:25media day, he talked about the resiliency that he's had to have and how he's ready for this moment.
01:32The thing that matters is, you know, if you believe in yourself, that's really it. You know,
01:38I always believed in myself. I knew that I could do this at a high level and that was really it.
01:42That's what kept me going. And I knew at some point an opportunity would arise. But even if
01:48it didn't, I knew that I did everything that I could to become a better player year in and year
01:52out. Go get them, Sam. For more on Darnold, the Seahawks, the Patriots, and of course the Super
01:57Bowl, you guys already know where to go. NewYorkPost.com slash sports.
