00:00Bill and Hillary Clinton have caved to pressure and will testify in the House Oversight Committee's
00:05Jeffrey Epstein investigation. The former President and Secretary of State were subpoenaed
00:10by the committee last summer, but they skipped out on their scheduled deposition, instead offering
00:14written declarations about their relationship with the disgraced billionaire and convicted pedophile.
00:20That didn't sit well with the committee chair, Kentucky Congressman James Comer,
00:24and their no-show on Capitol Hill prompted the committee to vote on holding them in contempt
00:29a vote that passed, and it teed up a full House vote, which was expected to result in formal contempt
00:35charges. On Monday, the Clintons, perhaps trying to avoid the full contempt kitten caboodle, made an
00:42offer to the committee that President Clinton would testify, but with limited scope, meaning they can't
00:47just ask him whatever they want. But Comer rejected that offer, effectively digging in his heels.
00:52And then the Clintons blinked. They're testifying, and they're not pleased. A spokesperson for the
00:57former president confirmed the development on X, posting, quote, they negotiated in good faith.
01:02You did not. They told you under oath what they know, but you don't care. But the former president
01:08and former secretary of state will be there.
