00:08An Arkansas dentist named Dr. Abernathy
00:11made a local ad using some special effects
00:13to put himself in the Death Star Trench run
00:15from 1977's Star Wars A New Hope.
00:19And like Luke Skywalker, he didn't need his instruments
00:21to get the job done.
00:22That's because Abernathy was using a new laser treatment
00:24called Pips to complete the task.
00:26Look at how well it fixed this insurmountable problem
00:29from the dark side.
00:31After his big victory, he ended the commercial
00:33during the classic awards ceremony saying,
00:35you all may have the force, but I have Pips.
00:38Jimmy Kimmel highlighted the ad
00:40on his ABC late night show Wednesday,
00:42noting that the footage was unauthorized.
00:44The host said with a laugh,
00:46I think there's a very good chance this dental office
00:48will soon be hearing from a lawyer's office.
