00:00So, if you were watching the Knicks game last night versus the Lakers, you saw something very interesting in the third quarter.
00:07You may have noticed that after LeBron, he caught a dunk, all-time legendary Knicks villain.
00:11You know who that is. That is Reggie Miller.
00:13He was on the NBC broadcast, and he got a little bit excited.
00:16Maybe he did a little bit too much.
00:17Well, there was a fan who was sitting right behind Miller, who apparently, at least it seemed, didn't like Reggie's antics.
00:23The video of his response has gone viral.
00:25His name is Jason Davidoff, and he joins me now.
00:28Now, Jason, what's going on, man? How are you doing?
00:31I'm doing great. I'm doing great. How's everything with you?
00:34Man, everything's good. Everything is good.
00:35You got to see a Knicks win over the Lakers last night, and there's a lot going on around you being in the video behind Reggie Miller.
00:42So, the first thing I got to ask you is there's a lot of lip readers, a lot of Internet sleuths that have been out there
00:47that have been trying to figure out what you said in that moment when you reacted to Reggie Miller's reaction to that LeBron dunk.
00:52So, I'm going to ask you, we want to know, what did you say?
00:55It might be a little vulgar, but I said, sit your ass down, bro.
01:01Wow. Do you think Reggie Miller heard that at all? Did he hear?
01:05I doubt it. I doubt it. He's got some big headphones on that are big and, you know, with noise cancellation, but I hope he did.
01:13So, let me ask you this, too. That's a very immediate reaction when you told him to take a seat.
01:19What prompted it from you to just see that? Why did you have that reaction?
01:26Well, he was, you know, going all up in Jamal Crawford's personal space.
01:30Give him some space, my guy. He's rubbing up on his shoulder, jumping on him.
01:34You see things on the desk are falling. I was like, yo, just sit down.
01:38Relax. The Lakers were losing.
01:40Yeah. It seems like he was doing too much.
01:44So, let me ask you this. My next question would be, I felt like when I watched your reaction, it was very New York.
01:49Like, it's like, what is this guy doing? What's he doing right here, right?
01:52So, are you a huge Knicks fan, for people who might not know?
01:56And I'm asking, are you a huge Knicks fan where the hate for Reggie Miller runs deep?
02:00Or were you just reacting to a reaction that you were like, hey, this guy is over the top here?
02:05It's a little bit of both, for sure. I definitely, I'm not a fan of Reggie Miller. I don't think anybody is.
02:13And, yeah, but no, no matter who was there, I would have probably definitely been a little disgusted, to be honest.
02:19But Reggie Miller definitely, you know, added some salt to the wound of me telling him to, you know, sit down.
02:26All right. The thing is, I mean, he had to sit down eventually. So, I guess we saw that.
02:30Let me ask you this about Reggie Miller, because you know this as a Knicks fan.
02:34I called him a Knicks villain at the top of this, right?
02:37But there's this aura around Reggie Miller that he was this Knicks killer in his lore.
02:42But the stats and the record doesn't prove that.
02:44Reggie Miller is 6-12 at the Garden in the playoffs, 13-39 lifetime at the Garden.
02:49He did not do that much winning at the Garden.
02:51But people think back about what he did in 95.
02:53Do you think Reggie Miller, in the lore of him being great at the Garden, is a little overrated?
02:58I think, though, definitely. That series where he did the choke sign, we won the series.
03:04You know what I mean?
03:05So, people definitely don't look at that.
03:07But, no, if we had to pick somebody, I would still go with him as a villain,
03:10just because it's grown to be such a big part of, you know, Knicks' hearts.
03:14You know, you can't have a Knicks fan without a Reggie Miller hater, you know?
03:19I would have to agree with that in my experience.
03:22Did you have any interaction with Reggie after that moment?
03:26And, you know, the fact that you told him to sit his ass down, did you have any interaction with him?
03:29Not after that moment, no.
03:30He's got a security guard or, like, a little buddy to his right to make sure nobody touches him.
03:35I did, though.
03:36Last year, I went to the Pacers series, one of the games, Game 5, I believe it was,
03:41where we won, and I was very ecstatic.
03:43And so I yelled, I'm pretty sure he heard this one, Knicks in 7.
03:47Unfortunately, it was not Knicks in 7, but I'm sure he heard that.
03:51All right, so, okay, we get this vibe from you are a diehard fan, you're going to give it,
03:56you're going to give it to Reggie Miller, and now this has gone viral.
04:01So I've got to ask you, were you aware that you've become a hero for Knicks fans all across the Internet
04:06because of that energy that you gave Reggie Miller?
04:08How does it feel to be part of a viral Knicks moment in this season?
04:12It feels awesome, 100%.
04:14I actually have a friend of mine, his name is Jordan Gazet.
04:17He was the famous kid who was crying after we drafted Chris Asperzingis.
04:23So it's funny to not be in his shoes.
04:25Yeah, we went to the same school.
04:28We didn't play on any of the same sports team.
04:29He was on the football team while I was on the soccer team.
04:32And it was just a funny full-circle moment.
04:35And, yeah, yeah, that's about it.
04:37Yo, that's crazy.
04:38I was actually at that draft when Chris Asperzingis was picked,
04:41and I remember your friend crying over it.
04:43Yeah, that's crazy.
04:44That is crazy.
04:45What do you think about the Knicks this season?
04:47They just picked up a win number 31 last night.
04:50They're second in the East right now.
04:52How are you feeling about the Knicks this season,
04:53and do you think that they have what it takes to go all the way?
04:58Right now in this moment, I think so.
05:00I mean, how can you consider yourself a Knicks fan
05:02without having the faith that they can definitely go all the way?
05:05That little bit of a five-game losing streak or whatever it was
05:09back in early January to maybe like January 19th,
05:12that was a little shady.
05:13But, you know, this six-win streak, it's looking hot.
05:15We're looking good.
05:17Overall, still maybe a little bit underwhelming
05:20considering we're, you know, in title contention.
05:22I feel like we should be doing a little better.
05:23We shouldn't be getting beaten by some of the teams
05:25that we're getting beaten by.
05:26But I definitely have hope.
05:27I definitely have faith.
05:29So I think people are going to want to know this, Jason.
05:31Do you plan to return to the Garden
05:33the next time that Reggie Miller is going to be on a broadcast,
05:36and are you going to bring some of that anti-Reggie Miller energy
05:39back to MSG?
05:40Will we see that from you then?
05:41One hundred percent.
05:42One hundred percent.
05:43One hundred percent.
05:43Okay.
05:44Whether it's in the regular seasons or the playoffs,
05:45you'll see me there again.
05:47All right.
05:48Now, were you at the game by yourself?
05:50Because when you saw on the camera,
05:51it didn't seem like anybody was with you.
05:53Did you go solo?
05:54Did you have some people with you?
05:55How did you come to the game?
05:56I was there with my brother,
05:57and he stepped out to go to the bathroom.
06:00Actually, it was halftime,
06:01so people were still making their way back in.
06:03That's right.
06:03And I had to just get there early.
06:05So it was early?
06:06Yeah.
06:06You're right, because it was early third quarter,
06:08so people were still making their way back in to the lower ball.
06:10Well, I'll say this.
06:11Look, your brother probably is mad he missed a viral moment.
06:14He could have been in it,
06:15but you did have some great seats.
06:17You got to hook your boy up next time.
06:18You got to get me.
06:19I was in the building,
06:20but I was not sitting where you were sitting,
06:21so you got to hook me up next time.
06:23We'll make an effort.
06:23One hundred percent.
06:24There we go.
06:24We got to make that happen, man.
06:26I love that you're bringing the energy.
06:28It was a fantastic and funny viral moment.
06:30I hope you're enjoying it really well.
06:32Everybody, that's Jason Davidoff.
06:34Jason, appreciate you, man.
06:35Thanks for joining me.
06:36Thank you so much, man.
06:36Coming on to talk some Knicks.
06:37A hundred percent.
