00:00It's the only fossil of a dinosaur footprint that we have actually in our record that is
00:06from Brisbane.
00:07The age of this dinosaur footprint is the oldest dinosaur fossil that we currently have
00:13in Australia.
00:14So this type of dinosaur, it's one of the ancestral forms of what people commonly call
00:20long-necked dinosaurs.
00:22These dinosaurs, they walk on four legs, your brontosaurus, your brachiosaurus, but this
00:29footprint represent more the ancestral form of that, that yes, it had a bit of a long
00:34neck, it did not walk on four legs, it only walked on its back feet, and it was much smaller.
00:43So judging from a footprint that's about 20 centimeters in length, we can estimate that
00:50its legs were around 80 centimeters in height.
00:55And then extrapolating the length of the body from known fossils of that type of dinosaur
01:01from other places around the world, we're able to get a nice picture of this animal that
01:07lived in Brisbane 230 million years ago.
