00:00President Donald Trump threatened legal action against Grammy Awards host Trevor Noah following
00:04jokes made during the televised ceremony that referenced Trump, Jeffrey Epstein, and Greenland.
00:09Posting on Truth Social early Monday, Trump criticized the broadcast, calling the Grammy
00:13Awards virtually unwatchable, and described Noah as talentless.
00:17Trump also claimed CBS was lucky to no longer air the event.
00:21The response came after Noah delivered a joke shortly after Billie Eilish won Song of the
00:25Year for her track Wildflower.
00:27Noah said the Grammy was, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, before adding a reference
00:32to Epstein's private island.
00:33As audience reaction followed, Noah reminded viewers it was his final year hosting the
00:37ceremony.
00:39Trump rejected the implication that he had spent time on Epstein's island, calling the
00:42statement, false and defamatory.
00:45He wrote that he had never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and threatened to pursue
00:49legal action against Noah, stating his attorneys would seek damages.
00:54Trump also compared Noah to late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, whom he has criticized repeatedly
00:59in the past.
01:00Noah has hosted the Grammy Awards since 2021 and is not scheduled to return next year.
01:06During the ceremony, Noah also joked about rapper Nicki Minaj's recent appearances alongside
01:10Trump at public events.
01:12The remark drew cheers from attendees and later prompted a response from White House Communications
01:16director Stephen Cheung, who criticized Noah in a post on X.
01:20There is no evidence that Trump visited Little St. James, the U.S. Virgin Islands property owned
01:25by Epstein.
01:26Court filings and investigative records released in connection with Epstein-related cases show
01:30Trump was listed as a passenger on multiple Epstein flights between 1993 and 1996.
01:36Trump has previously acknowledged knowing Epstein, but has consistently denied wrongdoing.
01:41Representatives for Trevor Noah and Donald Trump were contacted for comment.
