00:00Our colleagues have just been talking about the lead-up to the election this weekend.
00:04What have you been seeing in terms of Takaichi-san's focus on defense spending?
00:09Has that meant more interest in the space industry?
00:12So recently, the Japanese government identified 17 important, how can I say, focus domain
00:18to be promoted as a core industry for the next 10 years or like that.
00:24So as a national plan.
00:26And of course, the space industry is counted one of that.
00:31And I think it's very good, how can I say, synergy with the robotics, AI, and quantum-level technologies.
00:41So yeah, that's why I think the current government.
00:43All useful ingredients for the space industry, I guess, these sectors that you're highlighting.
00:47Talk to us about how big you see the satellite imaging industry actually getting.
00:52And how much is Japan a player in it at the moment?
00:56I think when I established this company eight years ago, it's actually not so many companies,
01:05including the established one and the startup, maybe less than 20 or like that, just tried
01:11making the new market with the out-of-the-vision data.
01:15But now I think over, including the analytics company, over, I think 50 or 60, maybe hundreds more companies try to commercialize the out-of-the-vision data.
01:26And I think current market is strongly led by the demand from the national security.
01:31So I think the many companies focus on this, how can I say, national security, and well, how can I say, connected space industry.
01:43So what is the issue going forward looking like?
01:46I mean, with all these satellites going up, some say it needs to be sorted as critical infrastructure.
01:52Is there enough coordination among governments, especially when this is such a sovereign issue?
01:57Yes.
01:58So far, yeah, before the, how can I say, the current geopolitical situation, the out-of-the-vision company tried to looking for the, how can I find out the very good market to, how can I say, build up the costful constellation.
02:14But recently, yes, as I mentioned, the national security demand leads and, how can I say, bring the huge investment in this market finally.
02:25So, yeah, it means we have to take care about the sovereignty, closed system, local system with very higher security and, how can I say, freedom to operate the satellite constellation.
02:40How are you thinking about your North America expansion plans against this backdrop then?
02:45Yeah, I think historically, the Japan and the U.S. have a very good relationship in both of defense intelligence and also the economy.
02:54So, yeah, I'm going to say, currently, the geopolitical situation, I'm going to say, is very, I'm going to say, fluctuated and it's very difficult to guess.
03:03But in terms of the mid-term or long-term, we have to invest in the biggest market, North America.
03:09So, I think, how can I say, now, as I mentioned, my friendship between the U.S. and Japan is government and the commercial layer as well.
03:20So, what we try to leverage this relationship, how can I say, for making the new market for the next 10 years or so.
03:27So, what is the revenue growth you're expecting in the next 10 years to enforce inspectives?
03:32Actually, it's very difficult to guess.
03:34But, yeah, I think.
03:38Yeah, 10 times or more than 50 times like that can be expected, I think.
03:42So, let's get started.
03:54Okay.
