00:00Hello, Sarah from the Bureau here with your national weather forecast for tomorrow.
00:04So that's Tuesday the 3rd of February. So we'll start off by looking at tomorrow's synoptic map
00:09and we do have this high pressure system that's expected to move out into the Tasman Sea and that
00:15will turn the winds warmer northerly across the southeast while extending a ridge up the east
00:20coast bringing onshore flow and showers and even some storms there. Otherwise this tropical low
00:26sitting at the base of the top end is drawing a huge amount of moisture across northern parts of
00:31the country with a trough extending into western parts of Queensland and New South Wales. Out in
00:37the west however a weak southerly change will bring just a few showers to the coast and cooler conditions.
00:43So let's go around the country now state by state starting with Queensland. We're expecting a windy
00:49day with cloudy conditions about the east coast with just the slight chance of a shower about the
00:55south eastern parts. Scattered showers and isolated storms are expected through the central coast and
01:01adjacent land areas and as well about the Cape York Peninsula. While out in the west widespread showers
01:08and storms and even the potential for heavy rainfall and damaging winds with any of the storms that do
01:13form. Now tomorrow is expected to be a much cooler day to what we've been seeing recently particularly in the
01:20southeast with daytime maximum temperatures in the mid 20s. For Brisbane a cloudy day with winds easing and
01:27a top of 27 degrees. Down in New South Wales we're expecting a partly cloudy day with just the risk of a
01:34light shower about the windward slopes and coasts in the east sunny and dry in the south while up in the
01:41northwest afternoon showers and storms and with those storms there is the potential for heavy rainfall large
01:48hail or damaging winds. For Sydney a cloudy day with a slight chance of a shower and a top of 26 degrees
01:55while for Canberra a partly cloudy day and 28. Down in Victoria we're expecting it to be a dry sunny and
02:03warm day as those winds turn northerly with coastal sea breezes during the afternoon. Daytime temperatures
02:10are expected to be in the low 30s but grading to the mid 20s about the exposed coasts. For Melbourne
02:17a sunny day and a top of 32 degrees. Down in Tasmania it is also expected to be a warm day with partly
02:25cloudy conditions. There may be some morning valley fog clearing during the later morning. For Hobart a
02:31partly cloudy day and a top of 25 degrees. Up in South Australia a generally dry and sunny day with just
02:39the risk of a shower or storm about the far north east. Daytime temperatures in the low 30s grading up to the
02:46high 30s as we head further inland. For Adelaide a sunny day and a top of 32 degrees. Over in WA we're
02:55expecting it to be a generally dry and sunny day across southern parts of the state apart from just a
03:01few showers about the south coast in those onshore southerly winds with cooler conditions. For Perth a
03:07sunny day in a top of 31 degrees. Now for the tropical north it's this tropical low that's dominating the
03:14weather that's drawing an enormous amount of humidity with widespread showers and storms across the region
03:20and there is a risk of heavy rainfall in the vicinity of that low. Now there's also a risk of damaging wind
03:26gusts with any storms that do form across the tropics tomorrow. For Darwin a cloudy day with showers and storms
03:33most likely. So if you are after a more detailed forecast for your local area you can head to the
03:40Bureau's website, the app or social media. Otherwise have a great day we'll see you next time. Bye for now.
