00:00In Mexico, the government assured that it will not stop sending humanitarian aid to Cuba, ratifying its policy of sovereignty and international cooperation.
00:09The position was confirmed by the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Juan Ramón de la Fuente, during the Morena Party's plenary meeting in the Chamber of Deputies.
00:17In this context, the foreign minister defended the right of peoples to receive solidarity in times of need.
00:23Moreover, de la Fuente declared that Mexico does not accept the prohibition of humanitarian aid to any country and emphasized that his nation will continue to exercise this principle independently without submitting to external pressures.
00:38This statement comes in the context of the intensification of the economic blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for more than six decades.
00:53We do not accept that there is no humanitarian aid when any country in the world requires it, and we will continue to exercise this because it is also the mechanism that allows us to keep the dialogue alive, and the mechanism that allows us to send the message to the peoples who require it.
01:12Mexico will always do everything in its power to ensure that humanitarian aid arrives when it is needed, as we have already demonstrated in the past.
01:21Some natural events have created complex situations in our country.
01:31Humanitarian aid has always been the President's first instruction, and the first to arrive.
01:37What happens in Mexico, and helps us, we want to happen everywhere.
