00:00So you are hosting the Tony Awards simulcast this year. Tell us about it.
00:04So I'm hosting the Tony Awards simulcast, which is right over there in Damroche Park.
00:08For the folks who can't get inside here, we have an amazing show for them outside.
00:12Some of the nominated shows are literally coming over there to perform.
00:16We have prizes, special guests. It's going to be really fun.
00:21Well, it's such a big night tonight. What is your favorite production on or off Broadway right now?
00:27My favorite production on Broadway right now is Merrily We Roll Along.
00:32I really, really love that revival. It's a show that's very near and dear to my heart.
00:36And I think they really got it right, both with casting and direction. And it's just incredible.
00:41I mean, that cast, too. Jonathan, Dan, Lindsay. You can't go wrong.
00:45You definitely can't go wrong with those three.
00:47I also wanted to ask, I know Dolly Parton is bringing her catalog of music to Broadway soon.
00:52So is there another musician for you that you would look forward to seeing them hopefully make that Broadway turn?
00:59I feel like Billy Joel has already kind of done one with Moving Out, but not one that people actually sing in.
01:05It was more of a Twyla Tharp dance number. So Billy Joel, I think, lends himself very well.
01:10I also am such a sucker for Dave Matthews' band. I would love, love, love to do that.
01:15What would that look like?
01:16It would look like something I want to do or at least go to.
01:20And another person who I think is incredible and writes from such an emotional place is Billie Eilish.
01:24I think that would be really special.
01:26And if not her catalog, I think she and Phineas would compose an incredible Broadway show.
01:31I know for yourself, you've built such an incredible career on screen as well.
01:35But what is so special about live theater for you?
01:37There's nothing more special than live theater.
01:39There's no, oops, I've got to do that one more time.
01:41And everybody here really knows that feeling to do it live in front of an audience and understands and respects that relationship with, you know, a performer and the audience member.
01:51And that is something that I hold very sacred in my own life, whether it's on stage, on screen or really anywhere.
01:57Is there anyone here tonight that you're looking to possibly collaborate with in any capacity?
02:03Oh, my gosh, I'd collaborate with any of these people, directors, actors, composers.
02:07I made eyes with Alicia Keys earlier.
02:10My heart skipped so many beats, I pretended to know her for a second.
02:14But, yeah, truly anyone.
02:16It's hard to pick.
02:17What's next for you?
02:18Will we see you on stage at any point soon?
02:21Yeah, I'm going to do a fun little on stage thing at the Hollywood Bowl in the summer.
02:27And then, yeah, I mean, I'm open to coming back for whatever Broadway has in store for me.
02:32We've got to link up you and Alicia Keys.
02:34Yes, exactly.
02:35Heaven's Kitchen coming to Broadway 2026.
