00:00I will tell you, if we get a season 10, I will 100% do full glam with lashes and wings.
00:05Wow, he'd do that regardless.
00:10The cast of Queer Eye is chatting all about their latest season
00:13and taking their joy on the road with their first ever live tour.
00:17Hot off the heels of debuting season 9 of their Netflix feel-good hit,
00:21The Fab Five, including Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France, Karamo Brown,
00:25Anthony Porowski, and new cast member Jeremiah Brent
00:28chatted with The Hollywood Reporter all about gearing up for life on the road
00:32with their brand new live show, The Fab Five Live,
00:35which brings the magic of the hit Netflix series directly to live audiences.
00:40This is not going to be a makeover live show.
00:43We don't want to bastardize the process by giving you a watered-down version of a makeover.
00:47So instead, we want to kind of make this an interactive process
00:50where you really get to feel like you're a part of The Fab Five for the evening.
00:53We want to show you a side that we don't typically get to show you on our show of us.
00:59We're going to play games, and we want it just to be a night of joy and celebration.
01:03So much has happened, especially in the last few weeks in our country.
01:06We just want to remind people that this is a safe space.
01:09We get to live openly, unabashedly, and celebrate our joy.
01:13And there's one special stop they're really excited to hit,
01:16a live show in L.A., which will serve as a fundraiser for the SoCal Fire Fund.
01:21L.A.
01:22Yeah, we're coming back to L.A., which is really important to a lot of us,
01:25I mean, to most of us.
01:26And then obviously that night, we're kind of turning into a benefit
01:31for everybody that's been affected by the fires.
01:34We're partying with SoCal Fire Fund.
01:36We're going to see A.A. to really kind of bring a little bit of joy
01:40and a little bit of laughter.
01:41I know personally I've got probably 10 people that I care about
01:45and love tremendously that lost everything.
01:47And so we just want to bring them in, make them laugh,
01:50remind them about, you know, the beautiful side of life,
01:53given everything they've been through.
01:55Brent is especially excited to hit the road as the interior design expert,
02:00taking over for former cast member Bobby Burke
02:02as the newest member of the Fab Five.
02:04It's hard every day.
02:06What? That's the wrong way.
02:08Sorry about that.
02:09It really felt like coming home in a lot of ways.
02:12From the first day we started shooting together,
02:15I always kind of felt like I was part of the community.
02:17And I think it was a community that I didn't really know I needed
02:20as much as I did until I met the friends that I have now.
02:23So getting to watch people that you care about and admire
02:26do what they do, change people's lives,
02:29to be a part of what the power that television has
02:32when it's used for good,
02:33which is about that connective tissue and love
02:35and bringing people together,
02:37it's been transformative for me personally.
02:39Brent isn't the only new addition,
02:41with some members of the Fab Five also showing off new looks.
02:45Tan France debuted a new hairdo,
02:47ditching his famous salt and pepper quaff.
02:50It's, you know, not much of a change.
02:52Any new DMs?
02:55My favorite thing that Tan did for me after his haircut
02:57is he sent me a little clipping of his haircut
02:59because he knew how much that haircut meant to me.
03:01I will tell you, if we get a season 10,
03:04I will 100% do full glam with lashes and wig.
03:07Wow.
03:08He'd do that regardless.
03:09Queer Eye has been a source of light and positivity,
03:13something the cast notes is important now more than ever.
03:16I feel just so grateful to be able to be on a show like Queer Eye
03:22where we have this opportunity to be a bridge
03:24and to be a possibility model of bringing people together.
03:28It's not that we've become jaded,
03:29but at least I'll speak for myself.
03:30I've become a lot more comfortable doing this
03:34and then to have a reminder that what we do has value
03:38and importance to it.
03:39I think it was just like really refreshing.
03:41Queer Eye, the Fab Five Live kicks off its multi-city tour
03:44on February 19th in Philly
03:46with tour stops in New York, Chicago, D.C., and L.A.
