10 Movie Mistakes Directors Refused To Fix
Transcript
00:00This mistake was so good that the director left it in.
00:03He may be a guardian of the galaxy, but Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, is also a goofball of the
00:08galaxy. Quill's blumbling pseudo-macho persona is what endeared him to a lot of fans in his first
00:14appearance back in 2014. Played by the versatile Chris Pratt, the half-celestial is as famous for
00:19his slip-ups as he is his heroics. And perhaps this is best shown during a scene where the
00:23Guardians drop off the mysterious orb to the Collector on nowhere. As he's about to hand
00:27over the sphere, Star-Lord fumbles it, nearly letting it hit the ground before catching it.
00:32It was a great moment, fitting in rather nicely with the comedy this movie is known for, but it
00:36was also not meant to happen. Pratt legitimately dropped the orb during this scene, but kept in
00:41character and played it off as intentional. It's a fantastic piece of improv from the actor,
00:45and it shows that he really understood the assignment when it came to Star-Lord. And if
00:49you're wondering what caused him to nearly drop the orb, well, the Collector was played by Benicio
00:53Del Toro, so maybe it was just another fart.
