00:00A story for all you 80s babies out there. He-Man and Skeletor are back. You can thank not She-Ra,
00:07but Barbie. Okay, let me explain. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe franchise is being
00:12rebooted with a star-studded movie set to be released this spring. About a week ago,
00:17the first trailer dropped and every Gen X elder millennial in their 40s or 50s lost their collective
00:24minds to the tune of 30 million YouTube views. The owner of the franchise is Mattel. You may know
00:31them from the global billion-dollar blockbuster Barbie movie. So they must have gotten to thinking
00:37what other intellectual property could move the needle, but angled more for dudes. Which brings
00:43us to today's news that a fresh crop of He-Man action figures will drop in April, a couple months
00:49before the film. They will retail for 25 bucks each. If you're wondering what else Mattel has
00:54in the pipeline, they have nearly a dozen properties in various stages of development, including
00:59Thomas the Tank Engine, Barney the Dinosaur, Pauly Pocket, and Hot Wheels.
