00:10election. After special counsel, Jack Smith faced a grilling from House lawmakers
00:15for his prosecution efforts against the 45th president.
00:20He was calling for Smith himself to be prosecuted, accusing the controversial prosecutor of
00:25perjury and political targeting. Based on his testimony today,
00:30there is no question that deranged Jack Smith should be prosecuted for his actions.
00:35Trump declared on Truth Social. He destroyed the lives of many innocent
00:40people, which has been his history as a prosecutor. At a minimum, he committed large
00:45to scale perjury. During a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Special Counsel Jack Smith
00:50faced questions over whether his investigations into Donald Trump were politically motivated.
00:55particularly regarding subpoenas for Trump's phone records and those of Republican lawmakers.
01:00Smith chose to target President Trump and only President Trump in his
01:05election.

01:12The indictment was widely seen as an
01:15an attempt to damage Trump's momentum heading into the 2024 race. But the effort
01:20backfired. Trump not only fought through the charges, he went on to defeat
01:25Vice President Kamala Harris in a landslide with four felony charges quietly dropped
01:30in the aftermath. It was a political hijacking and a low point in the history
01:35of our country that such a thing could have happened. And yet, I persevered,
01:40against all odds, and won, Trump said when the charges were dismissed.
01:45Earlier in the day, Trump tore into Smith again, calling him a deranged animal and saying
01:50he should no longer be allowed to practice law. If he were a Republican
01:55his license would be taken away from him. And far worse. Trump wrote,
02:00Blasting what he described as a Democrat scam involving corrupt witnesses and political
02:05gamesmanship. Now, with Trump back in the driver's seat and his critics on defense,
02:10the tables appear to be turning. Whether the Attorney General will take any action remains
02:15to be seen. But the calls for accountability from the top are only getting louder.
