00:00Today I'm interviewing one of the most defining figures from the last quarter century of celebrity
00:05history a true icon Paris Hilton and I started our careers around the same
00:10time in the two thousands I wrote about her in the pages of the magazines I've worked for she was the
00:15original influencer as the socialite queen of the nightlife with the famous last name
00:20after a very public betrayal involving a leaked sex tape Paris did something people did
00:25expect she leveraged her notoriety and built a ground-breaking reality show
00:30an entertainment empire that she estimates to be worth one billion dollars today
00:35she's a multi-hyphenate entrepreneur with ventures in music fashion skincare and even
00:40as 30 fragrances and for many people the idea of Paris Hilton still comes
00:45up someone impossibly unrelatable wrapped in luxury and privilege she's the last
00:50person you'd imagine to be just like us but in recent years Paris has evolved beyond
00:55just being a successful businesswoman she's become more vulnerable and opened up to tell her full
01:00story and what was really going on behind the glitter and glamour in doing so she's made
01:05valuable contributions to the world in a 2020 documentary this is Paris she told her how
01:10the following story of being sent off to Utah's Provo Canyon School and became an advocate for
01:15survivors of the troubled teen industry leading to the passing of legislation reform she also
01:20uses her platform to talk about the misogynistic treatment of women in media and her charity
01:25work including launching funds for wildlife relief and is a vocal advocate for animals
01:30working on the life after their farm at that time that society is specific to the other
01:35still being a way to witness more uncomfortable she was some missing
01:35So although Paris may live the high life and may or may not have an entire...
01:40...dedicated to her 10,000 pairs of sunglasses, she has challenges and setbacks that...
01:45...to reveal, she may just be just like us. Today we'll dive deep into her life and...
01:50...documentary Infinite Icon, a visual memoir and assess how just like us...
01:55...this is Paris Hilton.
02:00So do you have a room for 10,000 sunglasses?
02:04I have lots of sunglasses.
02:05And that was at my other house that I just moved into. So this house...
02:10...has my glam room and it has my 10,000 sunglasses in it, yeah.
02:14So I like to start...
02:15...at my interviews with a little ritual about something personal about the person...
02:19...and I was so dumb.
02:20Confounded that you have 30 perfumes. I asked your team to send me some.
02:25...so that we could test them. So tell me about this one.
02:28This is my 30th fragrance.
02:30And it's called Iconic. And it is so beautiful. It has like...
02:34It really...
02:35...the rose tint. I love rose.
02:37Yes.
02:38It's like peony, raspberry...
02:40...rose. Those are some of the notes. And it's just like...
02:45...the house is just like very...
02:47...light, summery.
02:49...gorgeous.
02:50And I feel like men and women could both wear it.
02:53I would... I wear rose tint tones.
02:55And sometimes.
02:56I love it.
02:57What...
02:58If you've got 30 perfumes, how do you decide what...
03:00...to wear in the morning?
03:02I...
03:03...just kind of like what mood I'm in.
03:05I love that I have one literally for like every day of the month because there's 30.
03:08And do you only wear your own?
03:09Yeah.
03:10Yes.
03:11I've not worn another person's perfume since I was a little girl.
03:14But it's such a...
03:15...because when I was a little girl I would always go into my mom's boudoir and she collects perfumes.
03:20And my sister and I would be playing with all of them.
03:22And I was like, Mom, one day I'm going to have my own perfume.
03:25So...
03:25So now to have just released my 30th is just another dream come true.
03:28Well, it's not just like us to have...
03:30...but they are quite reasonable, right?
03:32What a surprise point.
03:33Yes.
03:34These are at Ulta Beauty.
03:35And for the size, this one's 80.
03:38So we're here in your craft room.
03:40And this helps your ADHD, right?
03:42It does.
03:43This is like...
03:44If you...
03:45If you looked inside my mind, what it looks like.
03:47I feel like the camera can't see at all because like...
03:50...the top with the rainbow and the butterflies, the clouds.
03:53Like...
03:54It feels like a dream.
03:55And when I walk in here with the kids, like we have so much fun doing art and just hanging out and...
04:00It's also my office and I love being able to look out the window and see...
04:05...like my 11-11 office and the waterfall and the just beautiful backyard.
04:10And all of it.
04:11It just...
04:12It's your safe space.
04:13Yeah.
04:14It just literally looks...
04:15Like when I was little, I would make like mood boards and like manifest what I wanted.
04:20In life, I really...
04:21Like this is what it was.
04:22And crafting gives you that...
04:23Yeah.
04:24That safe space.
04:25I love it.
04:26Well, you're...
04:27We're here in your home.
04:28It's absolutely beautiful.
04:29It's Beverly Hills.
04:30It is not quite just like us, but it is very unapologetically you.
04:35Are there any elements of just like us around the house?
04:38Are there like piles of unfolded lawns?
04:40Are there laundry?
04:41Are there dishes fill in the sink?
04:42I feel like it's just like...
04:45Any other family's house with kids.
04:47You know, there's toys everywhere.
04:49There's...
04:50Of course, like the laundry room as a laundry.
04:52Um, but then also we have like a water slide and...
04:55Like the pink tennis court and all the other fun things.
04:59It's like...
05:00The ultimate fun house.
05:01Like I feel like this is like the house I dreamed of since I was a little girl.
05:05So it's fabulous, but it's relatable and family just like everybody else.
05:09Just like regular folks.
05:10And I think that's what your new documentary really shows as well.
05:14It's an...
05:15It's an exploration into the human side of you, just like our side of you.
05:19Because it shows your...
05:20Life as a music icon and it marries that with the vulnerability of what...
05:25You've gone through.
05:26Behind the stardust and the glitter, it says I am...
05:30You're human.
05:31Like what do you want people to take away from the documentary?
05:34I feel that...
05:35This is really like a third part of a trilogy.
05:38Like the first time I really opened up...
05:40And, you know, showed people who I was, was through my first documentary.
05:44This is Paris.
05:45And then going even deeper through my memoir.
05:48And now in this part...
05:50With Infinite Icon, it's like my whole life through the lens of music.
05:55And just going back, you know, from the beginning, since I was a...
06:00Little Girl and all these dreams that I had.
06:02But then just going into so much more.
06:05Because I feel like within these past five years, I've just been on this whole journey.
06:10Of self-discovery and just learning so much and healing so much.
06:15And just so much has happened.
06:16So I just wanted to show that story and...
06:20I feel like it's also a story that others can relate to as well.
06:22I think we're going to talk through lots of those different points.
06:25On there, but to start with the music, I loved seeing you on the stage and so happy.
06:30And it being such a fulfilling journey.
06:32How does it feel to be up there when you're performing?
06:35When I'm on stage, it feels like the most incredible, magical feeling.
06:40In the world, just seeing everyone in the audience so happy and...
06:45excited and screaming and crying and singing along and dancing and just the...
06:50energy and love in the room is like another level.
06:53And when I'm up there, I just feel like...
06:55this was what I was born to do.
06:56It's funny because I've followed your career and worked with...
07:00you and covered your career for so long.
07:03And I never realized that music...
07:05was the pure love.
07:07And so, like, it made me wonder watching...
07:10the documentary.
07:11Do you feel that becoming famous before you explore music...
07:15hampered your ability to become a pop star quicker?
07:18Yeah, I do.
07:19I think that...
07:20just, you know, from doing The Simple Life, like a reality show...
07:23I think anyone who does reality...
07:25and then if they go into music...
07:27you're just not going to be taken seriously.
07:29And...
07:30especially during the early 2000s...
07:32when just the media...
07:34was...
07:35just extremely cruel to young women in the industry.
07:38So...
07:40it was always...
07:41really hurtful to me because it was just such a dream of mine,
07:44you know.
07:45ever since I could remember what I'd love to do...
07:47since I was literally, like, three years old.
07:49Like...
07:50I just...
07:51always wanted to be a pop star...
07:52but...
07:53I just felt that...
07:54my music didn't...
07:55didn't get the chance that it deserved...
07:56because...
07:57the media was controlling everything back then...
07:59and...
08:00now today, with social media, I'm actually able to hear what...
08:03the fans and people really think.
08:05so...
08:06And you can control your own narrative...
08:07and have your own voice.
08:08Yes, exactly.
08:09Well, I was a part of that media...
08:10you were at the time...
08:11I don't think I was mean to you...
08:12but I'd like to apologise...
08:13and...
08:14but...
08:15have you got any questions...
08:15for me about, like, at that time...
08:17covering the media and how unfair it was?
08:19Like...
08:20for you, I'm sure, just being in...
08:22the newsroom...
08:23Yeah.
08:24like...
08:25were you ever...
08:25pressured for them...
08:26to try...
08:27to make you...
08:28do or say things that you felt...
08:29like...
08:30uncomfortable asking?
08:31like...
08:32you felt like it was...
08:33going too far sometimes?
08:34I think there were times when there were...
08:35stories...
08:36where...
08:37I look back...
08:38and I'm like...
08:39why...
08:40did...
08:41they take that...
08:42direction...
08:43and it questions...
08:44I think...
08:45I believe media reflects society...
08:47and society was meaner back then...
08:49and that's...
08:50what people wanted...
08:51now people don't...
08:52want that...
08:53there's different meaner elements...
08:54on social media...
08:55but I think it's an...
08:56interesting question...
08:57or I think...
08:58there are certainly things...
08:59I regret being involved in.
09:00back at the time...
09:01and...
09:02I think the media has done better...
09:03in recent years...
09:04and I hope you find that...
09:05as well...
09:06definitely...
09:07I know that...
09:08so many of the things...
09:09you know...
09:10the way that...
09:10myself and other girls...
09:11were treated back then...
09:12would not happen today...
09:13it would not be accepted...
09:14so at least it's...
09:15changed for other people...
09:16so I think that's...
09:17like the silver lining...
09:18you had to go for...
09:19a lot of pain...
09:20to get there...
09:21a big theme from the documentary...
09:22of music saving your life...
09:23tell me...
09:24how that worked for you...
09:25just...
09:27you know...
09:28just from going through...
09:29so many traumatic experiences...
09:30as a teenager...
09:32and...
09:33you know...
09:34it was just so...
09:35painful...
09:36and traumatizing...
09:37and...
09:38when I got out...
09:39of those boarding schools...
09:40I just remember...
09:41like when I would...
09:42go out at night...
09:43it was like...
09:44the one thing...
09:45that I would just...
09:45forget about...
09:46all the pain...
09:47and just like...
09:48lose myself in the music...
09:49and have so much fun...
09:50and I just...
09:50felt...
09:51like this whole community...
09:52or I just felt...
09:53so accepted...
09:54and...
09:55no one was...
09:56judgmental...
09:55it was just...
09:56all about having...
09:57an incredible time...
09:58and...
09:59just...
10:00I don't know...
10:01I just...
10:02I love music...
10:03I love to dance...
10:04I love the lights...
10:05I love...
10:06the people...
10:05the escapism...
10:06yeah...
10:07you've been through...
10:08so much...
10:09and you touched...
10:10on some of it there...
10:10what has been...
10:11the hardest thing...
10:12to recover from...
10:13you've dealt with...
10:14sexual abuse...
10:15as a kid...
10:15so...
10:16the sex tape...
10:17the media treatment...
10:18what was the...
10:19what's...
10:20been the hardest...
10:20thing to heal from...
10:21do you think?
10:22hmm...
10:23all of it...
10:24you know...
10:25I think...
10:25these are things...
10:26that will...
10:27definitely affect me...
10:28for the rest of my life...
10:29but...
10:30especially...
10:30being...
10:31in these schools...
10:32which...
10:33my parents were told...
10:34it was called...
10:35a...
10:35emotional growth...
10:36boarding schools...
10:37and...
10:38they were sold...
10:39a lie...
10:40these places...
10:41are so many...
10:40manipulative...
10:41and...
10:42their marketing tactics...
10:43everything...
10:44they had brochures...
10:45where kids were...
10:45smiling...
10:46and...
10:47there was like...
10:48rainbows...
10:49and people were...
10:50riding horses...
10:51and everyone...
10:52looked so happy...
10:53in that situation...
10:54and...
10:55it was terrifying...
10:56just to be around...
10:57these adults...
10:58who...
10:58were literally...
10:59abusing...
11:00all of us...
11:01in so many ways...
11:02and...
11:03it's just...
11:04it took...
11:05many years...
11:06for me...
11:07to even talk about it...
11:08it was so...
11:08traumatizing...
11:09where it took me...
11:10you know...
11:1120 years...
11:12to even tell anyone...
11:13why do you think...
11:14there was...
11:15a shame...
11:16attached to it...
11:17definitely...
11:18and I think that's...
11:18the way they get away...
11:19with it...
11:20where they shame...
11:21the kids in these places...
11:22so much...
11:23where they're...
11:23we...
11:24were just too...
11:25embarrassed...
11:26and scared...
11:27to talk about it...
11:28and it was just...
11:28so...
11:29the things that happened...
11:30were just so like...
11:31crazy...
11:32it just...
11:33it...
11:33you wouldn't feel like...
11:34anyone would believe you...
11:35or...
11:36and...
11:37you kind of...
11:38go into...
11:38being told you're a bad kid...
11:39this is why you're here...
11:40yeah...
11:41and it just...
11:42it was just...
11:43it's horrible...
11:44what they do in these places...
11:45and plus...
11:46they get away with it...
11:47because they can...
11:48say to the parents...
11:48oh...
11:49they're...
11:50they're bad kids...
11:51they're lying...
11:52they're manipulating...
11:53they're trying to...
11:54you know...
11:55go home...
11:53so they're gonna say...
11:54that we're abusing them...
11:55they're gonna say this...
11:56they kind of tell the parents...
11:57what they're actually doing...
11:58they're lying...
11:59they're lying...
12:00and of course...
12:01if you're sending your child...
12:02to a place...
12:03and you think...
12:03they're gonna be protected...
12:04and you have no idea...
12:05the type of people...
12:06that work at these places...
12:08it's...
12:09you know...
12:10a recipe for disaster...
12:11I mean...
12:12I read some of...
12:13in your memoir...
12:13that...
12:14you're encouraged...
12:15to verbally abuse...
12:16each other...
12:17and then hug each other...
12:18afterwards...
12:18to untangle...
12:19mental abuse like that...
12:20it's...
12:21it just...
12:22I don't understand it...
12:23it blows my mind...
12:24how they think...
12:25that that's therapy...
12:26and when you go...
12:27into a place...
12:28and you...
12:28come out...
12:29more traumatized...
12:30than when you went in...
12:31Did it make you scared...
12:32of therapy...
12:33after that?
12:34Yeah...
12:33I've never had therapy...
12:34You've never had...
12:35therapy after that...
12:36because...
12:37it made me not...
12:38trust anyone...
12:38especially...
12:39people...
12:40like therapists...
12:41because I just thought...
12:42they were all...
12:43those type of people...
12:43and...
12:44um...
12:45it was just...
12:46a neat...
12:47that being a mom...
12:48it just makes me...
12:49even more...
12:50just...
12:51upset...
12:52and that's why...
12:53I just want to...
12:54continue...
12:55fighting...
12:56and using...
12:57leave them...
12:58in so many years...
12:59until...
13:00I've told my story...
13:01and now...
13:02it's started...
13:03an entire movement...
13:04it's been so difficult...
13:05especially for my mom...
13:06and dad to hear...
13:07about these things...
13:08because they had...
13:09no idea...
13:10the forgiveness...
13:11like even though...
13:12they were tricked...
13:13the forgiveness...
13:14process for you...
13:15with that...
13:14it must have been...
13:15so difficult...
13:16because I knew...
13:17that they had no idea...
13:18because that's...
13:19none of the parents...
13:20knew that this was happening...
13:21and...
13:22um...
13:23it's been...
13:24yeah...
13:25it's been like...
13:26a whole...
13:27my mom has just been...
13:28so...
13:29sad...
13:30just to hear...
13:31what has happened...
13:32and she's been...
13:33coming with me...
13:34to DC...
13:34to help speak...
13:35with the other parents...
13:36and...
13:37to let them know...
13:38her story as well...
13:39because it's important...
13:39for other families to know...
13:40because I feel like...
13:41the parents are just as much...
13:42the victims in this...
13:43well thank...

13:49work of my life...
13:50like...
13:51when I was a little girl...
13:52I would have...

13:55I was...
13:56testifying in Congress...
13:57I would have passed...
13:58fifteen...
13:59state laws...
14:00and...
14:01the past two...
14:02federal bills...
14:03to protect children...
14:04so...

14:05that I'm able to...
14:06help that from happening...
14:07to others...
14:08you should be...
14:09proud...
14:09so...
14:10instead of...
14:11traditional therapy...
14:12music's been something...
14:13that really has helped...
14:14to escape...
14:14and to disassociate...
14:15with a lot of the pain...
14:16and the healing...
14:17what...
14:18what...
14:19do you think...
14:19would have happened...
14:20if you didn't have music...
14:21to help you?
14:22I don't know...
14:23I think...
14:24out of thinking...
14:25of everything in my life...
14:26like music...
14:27art...
14:28and music...
14:29things...
14:30that helped me so much...
14:31and...
14:32even through doing...
14:33this documentary...
14:34I've just seen...
14:34like the power...
14:35in music...
14:36and...
14:37even the power...
14:38in listening to a lyric...
14:39and a song...
14:39like something...
14:40that could change your mood...
14:41or even change your life...
14:42and...
14:43just so many...
14:44of my fans...
14:45have come up to me...
14:46and said...
14:47thank you so much...
14:48for your album...
14:49it saved my life...
14:49like...
14:50thank you for your memoir...
14:51you have no idea...
14:52how much it means to me...
14:53so just to see...
14:54like the impact...
14:55it could make...
14:56on someone's life...
14:57and...
14:58I love that I'm able now...
14:59to have these...
14:59concerts...
15:00and create these...
15:01safe spaces...
15:02where my fans can come...
15:03and...
15:04dress up...
15:05however they want to...
15:04wear like...
15:05these outfits...
15:06and have so much fun...
15:07and just...
15:08lose their self...
15:09in my music...
15:09and have the most...
15:10incredible night...
15:11and forget about...
15:12anything bad...
15:13that's happening...
15:14in their life...
15:14what's...
15:15what's the darkest moment...
15:16you've been through...
15:17was it in...
15:18Provo?
15:19yes...
15:20just the...
15:21things that happened...
15:22to those places...
15:23should never happen to it...
15:24anyone...
15:25and especially...
15:26not a child...
15:27and...
15:28just...
15:29being terrified...
15:30every single day...
15:31of like...
15:32what was gonna happen next...
15:33and then having...
15:34severe nightmares about it...
15:36for...
15:37you know...
15:3820 years...
15:39until I started talking...
15:39telling my story...
15:40Were there moments...
15:41where you didn't want...
15:42to be here anymore?
15:43What...
15:44when I was in there...
15:45I was...
15:46it felt...
15:47everyone I felt...
15:48felt that way...
15:49like...
15:50you just...
15:49was like...
15:50it would be better...
15:51not to live...
15:52than being in these...
15:53type of places...
15:54um...
15:56but...
15:57it did make me really strong...
15:58where...
15:59it almost...
15:59prepared me...
16:00for Hollywood...
16:01in a sense...
16:02because I don't know...
16:03if I could have...
16:04survived the two...
16:042000s...
16:05and the way...
16:06I was treated...
16:07unless I had already...
16:08been through...
16:09such hell before...
16:09documentary...
16:10there was a line...
16:11that really stuck with me...
16:12where you said...
16:13life doesn't stop...
16:14life doesn't stop...
16:15with the drama...
16:16so neither should you...
16:17and I found it...
16:18really interesting...
16:19and something...
16:20I've tried to embrace...
16:21like...
16:22life is crazy...
16:23and bad things...
16:24are always gonna happen...
16:25and you've just...
16:24got to...
16:25power through...
16:26and we see that...
16:27in the documentary...
16:28when the fire...
16:29happens in the trailer...
16:29and you're...
16:30you've just...
16:31got to keep going...
16:32it's a pivotal moment...
16:33in the production...
16:34of the...
16:34at all...
16:35how do you...
16:36manage to carry on...
16:37when bad things happen...
16:38and...
16:39you're somebody who...
16:39things have happened...
16:40constantly...
16:41and you...
16:42are always smiling...
16:43you're always positive...
16:44from going...
16:44through so much...
16:45in my life...
16:46it's made me...
16:47so strong...
16:48and resilient...
16:49where...
16:50I can make it...
16:49through anything...
16:50so no matter what...
16:51life throws at me...
16:52it just continues...
16:53to make me...
16:54stronger...
16:55every single time...
16:56well...
16:57I'm loving...
16:58this pop journey...
16:59what...
16:59do you want to do...
17:00next...
17:01with your pop career...
17:02this has just been...
17:03so...
17:04so much fun...
17:05just...
17:06living out my dreams...
17:07and now...
17:08I've been in the...
17:09studio...
17:10the past year...
17:11and just finishing up...
17:12my third album...
17:13which will be...
17:14really...
17:14released next year...
17:15and I can't wait...
17:16we have a big tour...
17:17planned...
17:18so I can't wait...
17:19to perform...
17:19around the world...
17:20and then get started...
17:21on my fourth album...
17:22this is what...
17:23I love to do...
17:24more than anything...
17:25Have you got...
17:26advice from your...
17:27musical friends...
17:28like Brittany?
17:29we were just talking...
17:30about music...
17:31the other night...
17:32we were in Cabo...
17:33for her birthday...
17:34yeah...
17:35so it was such...
17:36an amazing night...
17:37and...
17:38yeah...
17:39we always love to...
17:40play music...
17:39to dance, and we were just talking about what our favorite songs are.
17:44And like, what type of music that we love, and...
17:46Do you think you could ever do anything with her?
17:49That would be iconic, so we'll see what happens.
17:54Yeah.
17:55I love her so much.
17:56She's an angel.
17:57And you threw her birthday party, was that accurate?
17:59Yeah.
18:00That's lovely that she's got such a good sisterly bond.
18:04With you, and you keep it very low-key as well, and I'm sure she appreciates that.
18:08You're someone who...
18:09Do you ever wish you weren't famous at all?
18:14Mm-hmm.
18:15I feel like this is something I was born...
18:19to do as well.
18:20I feel like there's certain people in life that this is like what they're meant to be.
18:24So, even though it's been so difficult and hard...
18:29I try to think about all the beautiful things that come with it, and I really see fame as...
18:34like a superpower to make people happy.
18:36So, I love that I'm able to just...
18:39make people's days by like taking a photo with them, or spending time with them, or just...
18:44anything, smiling, just...
18:46I feel like it just makes people so...
18:49happy.
18:50So, I think that...
18:51the good things you can do with it.
18:52And I love that I'm able to use my plow...
18:54platform just to make a difference in other people's lives.
18:57So, even though I'm...
18:59it has been very traumatizing at times...
19:01it's worth it.
19:02I like that.
19:03I love...
19:04I love that you're using your fame and your platform to do good in the world.
19:07How...
19:08how about money?
19:09How...
19:10do you think money brings you happiness?
19:11It does because I have worked so hard...
19:14and...
19:15success is something that has always really been a driving force for me.
19:19and...
19:20I feel very lucky just to grow up in my family and have incredible...
19:24business mentors of my grandfather and my parents...
19:28and I always have...
19:29love to make them proud...
19:31and...
19:32I love that I've created this entire...
19:34brand and empire...
19:35and now...
19:361111, my media company.
19:38So...
19:39it makes me happy because I'm able just to...
19:42feel that happiness.
19:44and I think that also just from going to those schools...
19:47and being so controlled...
19:49that I made a promise to myself...
19:50that I was going to work so hard...
19:52and become so successful...
19:53that...
19:54no one could ever control me or tell me what to do again.
19:57So I really see it as...
19:58freedom.
19:59So you used the pain that you went through...
20:01and the restrictions...
20:02and the abuse...
20:04to...
20:05to drive your...
20:06your...
20:07your ambition.
20:08Yes.
20:09What do you say to people who say you've had it easy...
20:12because...
20:13because you came from money?
20:14I could totally understand people saying that...
20:17because of course...
20:18I'm very...
20:19very privileged...
20:20that I'm...
20:21you know...
20:22came from a family...
20:23where I've been able to...
20:24learn so much from such incredible...
20:26businessmen...
20:27and women...
20:28and...
20:29just...
20:30you know...
20:31coming from my last name as well...
20:32so...
20:33but I've seen...
20:34a lot of other people...
20:35who come from...
20:36you know...
20:37prestigious families...
20:38and...
20:39a lot of them don't do anything...
20:41like...
20:42a lot of people I know...
20:43like...
20:44they just get like...
20:44allowance from their parents still...
20:45they've never worked a day in their life...
20:47and...
20:48I've also seen just how...
20:49how unhappy they are...
20:50because I feel like they have no...
20:51fulfillment in life...
20:52because they...
20:53are just...
20:54handed everything...
20:55and...
20:56they've never had to work for any of it...
20:57so...
20:58yes...
20:59I can...
20:59understand people...
21:00they don't know...
21:01and don't see...
21:02how much work has went into...
21:03everything that I do...
21:04and...
21:05just how...
21:06what I've created...
21:07and what I've built...
21:08and...
21:09you know...
21:10what I've...
21:09been through...
21:10on top of all that...
21:11um...
21:12so I think if people...
21:13know me there...
21:14understand...
21:15but then...
21:16if there's like an outsider...
21:17who just...
21:18you know...
21:19sees the name...
21:20Paris Hilton...
21:21so...
21:19so I can understand...
21:20how some people would think that...
21:21because I would say...
21:22I'm self-made...
21:23but like...
21:24my granddad...
21:24you need to go to...
21:25journalism school...
21:26everybody's gonna get some help...
21:27how much help...
21:28did you get at the beginning?
21:29um...
21:30I...
21:31like...
21:32used to get like an allowance...
21:33but I haven't...
21:34got anything since I was...
21:3418...
21:3518...
21:36so...
21:37that's the same as me...
21:38my...
21:39mine was probably...
21:39only one through college...
21:40so...
21:41you didn't get money...
21:42from your parents...
21:43there was no trust fund...
21:44nothing like that...
21:44I've been working since I was...
21:4616...
21:47and so they didn't help...
21:48with the deposit...
21:49for a house...
21:50or anything like that...
21:51no...
21:52I did everything on my own...
21:53that's really not fair...
21:54that people...
21:54like criticize you...
21:55for being...
21:56not believing...
21:57that you're self-made...
21:58because...
21:59there's a New York Post...
21:59saying fans are reacting...
22:00saying she's delusional...
22:01thinking she's self-made...
22:02if they actually knew...
22:04everything...
22:05and saw...
22:06everything...
22:07they would understand...
22:08that's...
22:09that's really interesting...
22:09congratulations...
22:10how will you handle...
22:11that balance...
22:12with your own kids...
22:13because of a...
22:14obviously...
22:15you've been...
22:16incredibly successful...
22:17how will you...
22:18create the balance...
22:19of...
22:19trying to work out...
22:20how much to...
22:21support to give them...
22:22I think it's...
22:23you know...
22:24just from growing up...
22:25in this way...
22:26and seeing so many others...
22:27I think...
22:28if you spoil your...
22:29children...
22:30you will destroy them...
22:31so that's something...
22:32that my husband and I...
22:33talk about...
22:34where...
22:34of course...
22:35want to give them...
22:36the most beautiful life...
22:37make them so happy...
22:38but...
22:39we also want to...
22:40instill...
22:39that work ethic...
22:40and make them...
22:41want to do something...
22:42with their own lives...
22:43and I think...
22:44with my babies...
22:44growing up...
22:45and seeing...
22:46just how...
22:47hard I work...
22:48and everything I accomplish...
22:49it's going to be...
22:50really...
22:49really inspirational to them...
22:50and...
22:51that's why...
22:52I've built so much...
22:53at the house...
22:54where I have like...
22:54recording studio here...
22:55the podcasting studio...
22:56the...
22:57photo studio...
22:58just like...
22:59so much...
22:59of my work...
23:00I'm able to do from home...
23:01and my kids are always there...
23:02watching everything...
23:03so I think...
23:04I feel like...
23:05that will be instilled in them...
23:06just like...
23:07anytime I'm in a meeting here...
23:08like they're sitting on my lap...
23:09so like...
23:10I feel like...
23:11even the other babies...
23:12they're soaking it in...
23:13and they'll continue to do so...
23:14throughout their life...
23:15so...
23:16yeah...
23:17I think...
23:18for my kids...
23:19I just want them to be...
23:19so happy...
23:20and be incredible human beings...
23:21and...
23:22I want them to do...
23:23whatever makes them happy...
23:24you've talked a lot about...
23:25reclaiming your narrative...
23:26what's one...
23:27misconception about...
23:28Paris Hilton...
23:29that you're still trying to...
23:30correct...
23:31I feel like I've been...
23:32such an open book...
23:33in the past five years...
23:34where I've...
23:35discussed...
23:36everything...
23:37so I don't really think...
23:38there's any anymore...
23:39I feel like...
23:40I've cleared up...
23:41so many misconceptions...
23:42I feel like...
23:43before...
23:44you know...
23:45thought I was a dumb blonde...
23:46because of the simple life...
23:47but...
23:48I've proved that I...
23:49I'm not a dumb blonde...
23:50I'm just very good at...
23:51pretending to be on...
23:52Well...
23:53that comes...
23:54on to my next question...
23:55actually...
23:56I loved in the movie...
23:57when...
23:58you know...
23:59doing the recording...
24:00and somebody says...
24:01you can use your real voice...
24:02on this one...
24:03and...
24:04it reminded me...
24:04I was on...
24:05your BFF show...
24:06with you back in the day...
24:07and we would record...
24:08and you'd have this baby...
24:09voice saying...
24:10that's hot...
24:11and then we'd go off...
24:12and you'd be with...
24:13Benji...
24:14talking about beats...
24:15and this voice...
24:14so low...
24:15and I would just be like...
24:16she's two different people...
24:17and so...
24:18like...
24:19you pretended to be somebody...
24:21was that...
24:22where did that come from?
24:24was that protectionism...
24:25protecting yourself...
24:26by being a caricature...
24:28or was that...
24:29strategically...
24:30to play a part...
24:31and earn money?
24:32I think...
24:33you know...
24:34I didn't even realise...
24:34until...
24:35You still do it!
24:36Was it high or low then?
24:37That was low then.
24:38See I...
24:39I literally...
24:40can't even control it...
24:41I think it's just...
24:42such a part of me now...
24:43because I've been doing it...
24:44for so long...
24:44um...
24:45but I do think it was...
24:46a trauma response...
24:47to what I went through...
24:48um...
24:49where I just kind of...
24:49wanted to build this...
24:50perfect...
24:51like a Barbie doll...
24:52life...
24:53and...
24:54like a Disney...
24:55kind of...
24:56I don't know...
24:57Barbie character...
24:58and then...
24:59um...
25:00you know...
25:01getting the simple life...
25:02and then the producer's telling me...
25:03you know...
25:04we want you to...
25:04play this kind of...
25:05blonde...
25:06spoiled airhead...
25:07and play into this character...
25:08and this was the...
25:09first reality show...
25:10and...
25:11I had no idea...
25:12I'd have to continue...
25:13on that character...
25:14for five seasons straight...
25:15and then...
25:16every talk show...
25:17and everything I would go on...
25:18I would be the character...
25:19and then I just kind of...
25:20got...
25:21stuck in it almost...
25:22because the whole world thought...
25:23that's who I really was...
25:24and I'm also a very...
25:25naturally shy person...
25:27so I feel like...
25:28being the...
25:29character...
25:30it made it easier...
25:31for me...
25:32to kind of...
25:33be silly...
25:34and say...
25:34ridiculous things...
25:35I don't know...
25:36I feel like...
25:37if the simple life...
25:38had me talking...
25:39in my normal voice...
25:40and not playing the character...
25:39it would not have been...
25:40the show...
25:41that it was...
25:42I can see that...
25:43I know...
25:44Nikki...
25:44she's shy too...
25:45and...
25:46that shyness...
25:47comes across...
25:48with both of you...
25:49it's an understanding...
25:50that like...
25:51you're playing a part...
25:52to get through...
25:53social anxiety...
25:54sometimes I'll do that...
25:55at parties...
25:56like...
25:57I've got to be down...
25:58wait for tonight...
25:59how do you...
25:59deal with...
26:00social anxiety...
26:01now?
26:02I still have...
26:03social anxiety...
26:04and I think...
26:05that might be...
26:06the ADHD as well...
26:07because I'm just...
26:08so in my head...
26:09all the time...
26:10and...
26:09I get...
26:10I think...
26:11also since the pandemic...
26:12like...
26:13I've gotten...
26:14just like...
26:15way more anxiety...
26:14than I used to...
26:15um...
26:16but then...
26:17if I'm around...
26:18like...
26:19if I bring like...
26:19the best friend...
26:20or like...
26:21I'm with like...
26:22a group of people...
26:23I trust...
26:24then I feel...
26:25more comfortable...
26:24but if I'm just like...
26:25going in somewhere...
26:26and...
26:27not knowing anyone...
26:28sometimes I get...
26:29a little...
26:29nervous...
26:30I think that's normal...
26:31I feel like everyone...
26:32I mean...
26:33it's just like us...
26:34it's just like...
26:35regular folks...
26:36everybody deals...
26:34with mental health issues...
26:35but people wouldn't imagine...
26:36that Paris Hilton...
26:37this striking...
26:38beautiful blonde...
26:39woman with everything...
26:40would be nervous...
26:41going into...
26:42going into an event...
26:43Yeah...
26:44I think people would...
26:45definitely be surprised...
26:46to know that...
26:47What's your relationship...
26:48with the character...
26:49of Paris Hilton...
26:50these days?
26:51Well...
26:52I think...
26:53before I saw...
26:54it was like...
26:55a form of protection...
26:56and now I see it as...
26:57like my...
26:58just fun...
26:59silly...
26:59inside...
27:00like...
27:01you know...
27:02there's...
27:03a time and place...
27:04for everything...
27:05and like...
27:06when I'm doing...
27:07you know...
27:08like...
27:09different campaigns...
27:10with brands...
27:11and they want me...
27:12to play the character...
27:13like...
27:14I...
27:15I'm...
27:16I'm...
27:17I'm...
27:18I'm...
27:19I'm...
27:20I'm...
27:21I'm...
27:22I'm...
27:23I'm...
27:24I'm...
27:25I'm...
27:26I'm...
27:27I'm...
27:28I'm...
27:29I'm...
27:30I'm...
27:31I'm...
27:32it's fun.
27:33I think a lot of artists...
27:34and people do...
27:35A lot of people I've spoken to, like actors.
27:37Beyonce, Sasha Fierce, JLo, Jennifer Lopez.
27:40We all have that.
27:41And then we all have the one when we're at home, you know, chilling.
27:45In our sweats and just like laid back and just like ourselves.
27:48So you are just like us.
27:50You're playing the part of an entitled heiress, but now 20 years have passed.
27:54I have to ask.
27:55Was the warm up question set up or did you really not know what a warm up was?
28:00At the time.
28:02I did.
28:03You did that.
28:05I just thought it would be a funny line.
28:08And you came up with a line.
28:10Yeah, it wasn't like I thought about it in advance because I didn't even know we were going to talk about Walmart.
28:14But when.
28:15When it came up, I was like, in my mind, I was like, this will be funny.
28:18I had no idea it would be such an icon.
28:20I had no idea it would be such an iconic line that people to this day still say.
28:23And now I have like.
28:25My entire kitchenware and homeware and.
28:27Your fragrances were in mobile store.
28:29All of it, yeah.
28:30When was the last time you were in Walmart?
28:32Um, I was there two weeks ago.
28:34Um, in our.
28:35Arkansas, actually, I go there all the time to go meet with a whole team out there and.
28:40Just showing them all the new products from my new line for Paris and Pups and my new homeware line.
28:45And kitchenware line and storage line and all of it.
28:48I have so, I have like.
28:50Over 400 SKUs of products inside of Walmart.
28:53So now I know they don't sell walls.
28:55They sell Paris Hilton Pratt.
28:56You're just a, you're just a comedy icon.
28:59Um.
29:00Moving on to something a bit more difficult, the sex tape.
29:02Um, it's really heartbreaking looking.
29:05Looking back on the doc in the documentary and you talk about it that you had no agency about.
29:10Besides Pamela Anderson, you were the first celebrity to go through.
29:15This publicly and internet was different.
29:18Copyright was different.
29:19It was a wild world.
29:20West and now it would be impossible to happen.
29:23Like, was there no.
29:25No way of stopping it coming out.
29:26How was that time?
29:27It was just.
29:30Humiliating, so painful.
29:33I did not want to leave my house.
29:34So I.
29:35It was just, it was just, you know, just trust somebody.
29:40And have them violate me like that.
29:42It was just.
29:45It was just the most horrible thing that you could do to a person.
29:47And, um, there was nothing that I could do.
29:50And, um, yeah, that's something that will haunt me the rest of my.
29:55And if that happened today, it would be illegal.
30:00Um, so, like another thing I went through that.
30:05And now it would be illegal for people today.
30:06So I think that, again, is the good part that other girls don't have to go through.
30:10But, um, yeah, that was, um, I mean.
30:15You frame it that this was a young girl who didn't, who was coerced to do.
30:20This and then was publicly humiliated and then flogged for it afterwards.
30:23It's like.
30:25It really wasn't, really wasn't fair.
30:28I'm not going to mention the name of the guy.
30:30Because you cleverly didn't do that in the dark.
30:33Have you ever spoken to that ex again?
30:35No.
30:36Would you ever have a conversation with him?
30:38No.
30:39Um, have you?
30:40Thought about when your kids find out about the sex tape and how you'll approach it with them?
30:45That's going to be a really just painful.
30:50Subject to talk about, like, I don't even know.
30:53Like, I haven't even thought about what I'm going to.
30:55I'm going to say since they're only two years old right now.
30:57Um, but.
31:00Hopefully by talking to them, they'll.
31:05Never have something like that happen to them or they'll be taken advantage of.
31:09So it's just.
31:10Horrible.
31:12And now just being a mom again, just thinking about that.
31:14Just.
31:15Makes me even sadder for me that I had to go through all that.
31:18And so publicly and have people.
31:20vilify me for it when I was just a 19-year-old kid, basically.
31:24Yeah, the media.
31:25The media were just brutal for you, the news media, particularly the experts.
31:30And the documentary said you're targeted because of your intelligence to play the game effectively.
31:35You kind of played the game together, similar to Princess Diana.
31:37You worked with the press at times, welcomed them into your life.
31:40Post for the paparazzi.
31:42Do you think you paid the price for that?
31:45I woke him in the media.
31:46I didn't think that was fair at all.
31:48I was always respectful.
31:50I was respectful and kind, and I knew that people were just trying to do their job, so I would.
31:55I would always be nice to everyone and never was one of those celebrities that would, you know, tell.
32:00I would, you know, tell them off or go off on them like I've seen some people do.
32:03So I.
32:05I just thought it was really unfair the way that they did that.
32:08I'm going to read some of the headlines from the.
32:10documentary and just ask you, like, how did they make you feel back then?
32:15Like the idea that this was a description of a young woman in her early 20s.
32:20Paris Hilton, what's the point?
32:21Famous for nothing, bimbo summit, no brains, all fame.
32:25A new low for celebrity culture, like you're human, just like the rest of us.
32:29How did.
32:30How did you feel that feel at the time?
32:31It was really hurtful.
32:33You know, I was just a young girl.
32:35Just living my life, but I had the whole world watching and.
32:40Fudging and picking everything apart and just.
32:43I felt like no matter.
32:45What I did or what I accomplished people just refused to.
32:50I don't know, just see, see me as like a human being that was just.
32:55like a cartoon character or like a punchline that they just make fun of.
33:00And it just always hurt my feelings because I've always been such a sensitive person as well.
33:05And then on top of it, when having ADHD, we experienced.
33:10Emotions like 10 times more than a neurotypical person.
33:15And especially there's something called RSD, which is.
33:20Rejection sensitive dysphoria, which 99% of people with ADHD experience.
33:25So to have things like said like that.
33:30Is just physically painful, like it's.
33:35Like being stabbed in the heart, like it's just.
33:38I would cry so much.
33:40All the time, just like constantly hearing things and people making up lies and stories.
33:45It was just a nightmare.
33:47What would you say to the people who wrote those headlines now?
33:50Say, look at me now, honey.
33:55I've always loved proving people wrong.
33:57So much of my career, I've been underestimated.
34:00And misunderstood.
34:01So now today, just to see my life and everything.
34:05that I've accomplished and my beautiful family and just everything.
34:10that I've done.
34:11And now I've had so many people come up and apologize to me.
34:15So many reporters, just people on the street have said that.
34:20If I'm doing an interview, just so many people have said, I'm so sorry for the way that myself and others.
34:25I've treated you because you did not deserve that.
34:27So it feels, it's very healing to hear that.
34:30from people to realize that they know it was wrong.
34:32What advice would you give to the people?
34:35to the young girl who's going through that now?
34:37to the young girl who's going through that now?
34:39My
34:40My advice would be that you shouldn't listen to people like this.
34:45That
34:46That what matters most is what you think of yourself.
34:49So don't let that
34:50that outside noise affect how you feel about yourself because of it.
34:55A lot of people can be mean, especially, you know, now with the internet and
35:00you know, people are able to hide behind a computer.
35:03And
35:04It's a different
35:05It's a different
35:05form of maintenance now.
35:06It's different. I feel like the media, it wasn't like that.
35:08But then there's like the internet trolls.
35:10So we're just like these people living in like their parents' basement and like miserable
35:14with no life.
35:15And like just sit on the computer all day just writing rude things to people.
35:20Like I just would tell them like I would feel bad for these people that they are that.
35:25miserable that they need to go and try to tear you down and don't let it affect you.
35:30In the movie.
35:31I found it really interesting you talking about your ADHD and thank you.
35:34I think
35:35like I believe with mental health challenges, it's so important to talk about them and normalize them and
35:40you stigmatize them and make people feel less alone.
35:42And you've been a leading person with ADHD.
35:45You've been a leading person with ADHD to do that.
35:46And the quote that really hit me from the documentary was I have all the success by
35:50I wish I could be as happy as someone without the ADHD demon voice who.
35:55would have had all these things still have would have had all these things.
35:58So do you still feel.
36:00like that.
36:01It's it's gotten much better like now that I.
36:05I've really studied and researched and know so much about my ADHD.
36:10But growing up, no one was talking about it, especially with young girls.
36:15So I had no idea like being in school and constantly getting.
36:20in trouble all the time, like not able to focus, like always in detention, always failing.
36:25like all the tests because I couldn't remember anything or like losing my homework, just like so many.
36:30things would happen and, you know, people with ADHD would just be called like bad kids.
36:35And I think that's, you know, one of the reasons I got sent away to these schools is because of it because I just wasn't.
36:40not able to focus in school or anything no matter how hard I tried.
36:45and then now knowing that the.
36:50voices from that that are negative self-talk are not true.
36:55like that is always a good thing.
36:57So anytime I do have that happening, I'll just immediately say that's not.
37:00that's not you, that's just your ADHD.
37:02So that's how you manage it.
37:03That's really, I really love sharing the solutions.
37:05Yeah.
37:06That's how you.
37:07I talked to this amazing doctor named Dr. Hallowell.
37:10who was like one of the leading ADHD psychiatrists and he has it as well.
37:15and he calls it the demon, it's called DMN, which is.
37:20like the default mode network is what the real term for it is.
37:24In the documentary, you call it the.
37:25the demon voice.
37:26The demon.
37:27I found it fascinating.
37:28The idea that all of these mean things are being said about.
37:30you in the press, but it's worse in your head.
37:33that you were saying worse things about yourself.
37:35Yeah, so that was just painful and I think through doing this document.
37:40I feel like I never even gave myself the credit for like how much I survived even going through.
37:45that like after everything I'd already went through in these schools, then, you know, coming out into.
37:50Hollywood and then having the media say all these crazy things like it was just.
37:55It was, it was just so traumatizing back then, so I'm so.
38:00like grateful now to have healed from that and now I'm able to.
38:05tell my story to others because I know there's so many other, you know, kids who have ADHD.
38:10who I'm sure are going through the same thing right now and just to.
38:15tell them and let them know that this is something that we all experience and that those things are not true.
38:20and to be strong and to lean on in on it as your superpower.
38:25because I wouldn't be the woman I am today without it as well.
38:28I wouldn't be the entrepreneur I am.
38:30I wouldn't be the creative I am.
38:31I wouldn't have these so many different businesses without the ADHD.
38:35so I want to inspire others that this can be a superpower.
38:40and you can just lean in to what you love.
38:42they say that we can't focus, but.
38:45that's not true.
38:46we can hyper focus like no other.
38:48we just can't focus on things.
38:50that are boring.
38:51but the things that light us up, we will focus like a superhero.
38:55that's really interesting.
38:56it's just that all of our brains have worked differently.
38:58and so the fact you're.
39:00talking about it and normalizing this and showing it's actually a positive.
39:03not a negative is a great.
39:05example for society.
39:06so thank you.
39:07i've had so many families, kids.
39:10people come up to me and say thank you so much for writing your song.
39:13ADHD.
39:14like.
39:15my child used to be so ashamed of it, but now.
39:17that's their anthem and they're singing it every morning.
39:20and telling everyone.
39:21ADHD is my superpower.
39:23so I love how I'm able to.
39:25reframe it, especially for these young kids growing up with it.
39:27because I know that a lot of them are struggling.
39:29and back in the.
39:30and back in the.
39:31you felt you couldn't.
39:32admit to having any.
39:33any.
39:34weaknesses.
39:35and.
39:35and now it's different.
39:36opening up with your vulnerabilities is your superpower.
39:38yes.
39:39for sure.
39:40and growing up in the 2000s, like no one was even saying the word mental health.
39:44like if you heard.
39:45that they'd be like what like mental hospital like they wouldn't understand that.
39:49i'm a big.
39:50believer.
39:51and i've done a lot of work in the mental health space that like everybody has got somebody
39:54in the family who's going.
39:55through something scratched beneath the surface i've got people with ptsd.
39:59adhd.
40:00the clinical depression and it and it no people don't talk about it and we shouldn't.
40:05encourage it make people feel less alone so thank you for all of your work.
40:08thank you.
40:09thank you.
40:10it's amazing seeing this new generation and how open they are just how you know.
40:15we were all taught like if anything's wrong don't talk about it just like everything's
40:19fine.
40:20but when you do talk about things it just shows like the power of vulnerability and telling
40:24your truth.
40:25and just like letting it out and it just like helps you so much and then it makes others.
40:30feel safe to open up as well and then it starts like this whole domino effect where so many.
40:35people could heal around the world.
40:36so you are just like us the relatable things are what matter.
40:40so all of my gay friends are totally jealous i'm here with you at your house.
40:45and until i saw this documentary i didn't really realize why you were a gay icon.
40:50and i had tears streaming down my face when you said they are the
40:55ones who gave me the greatest gift showing me what it truly means to live my true perspective.
41:00for so long i was weighed down by the shame over what i went through in the troubled teen industry.
41:05i've never heard a straight person understand the shame that gay people go through living
41:10in a world of feeling othered and not feeling welcomed and the fact that you could.
41:15empathize with that with what you've gone through i found that really powerful so thank you.
41:20when did you realize your similarities with the gay community?
41:25just especially getting out of those schools and then david la chapelle.
41:30and i have been very close friends forever and i was one of his muses and he would take me to all the gay.
41:35clubs so i was hanging out with him and amanda lapore and like patricia field and like that.
41:40whole club scene and just feeling so much love so accepted.
41:45just seeing these people who just like live their life out loud just
41:50just beautiful inside and out and just learned so much.
41:55from that just an incredible community in so many ways pride is my favorite time of the year.
42:00it's so much fun just being on stage performing going to all the gay clubs.
42:05and feeling the energy the love in the room it's like nothing.
42:10i couldn't even describe it to so much fun.
42:13well thank you thank you for your support.
42:15the way you vocalized that connection to the community was so breathtaking.
42:19how have you.
42:20dealt with that shame that you talked about.
42:23i've just felt that a lot.
42:25a lot of the things that have happened in my life are because other people hurt me.
42:29and some.
42:30another message in this film that i want to.
42:32i want to.
42:33i want to.
42:34have others know is that.
42:35that the shame.
42:36should not be on us.
42:37it should be on the people who hurt us.
42:40and.
42:41i was actually speaking with one of the survivors who.
42:44went to.
42:45robo canyon school with me and she said that to me.
42:48um.
42:49when we were doing my first documentary.
42:50and that.
42:50that's something that stuck with me ever since.
42:52and it's so true.
42:53i feel like so many of the times so many.
42:55of us have held on to shame which.
42:57never should have been on us.
42:58it should have always been on.
43:00that person.
43:01who hurt us.
43:02so i think that's such a powerful message for people.
43:04to know.
43:05in their hearts.
43:06because i feel like that would.
43:08take away a lot of pain from people if they knew.
43:10that.
43:11motherhood they say.
43:12becoming a parent.
43:13will humble you.
43:14and make you just.
43:15like us.
43:16what's.
43:17one way your kids have humbled you recently.
43:19um.
43:20um.
43:20they are just.
43:21my.
43:22everything.
43:23my world.

43:34the cutest.

43:39um.
43:40they're just everything to me.

43:42so lucky that i'm their mom.
43:44when.

44:00they're so kind.
44:01they're so gentle.

44:05they're just like.
44:05like.
44:06the perfect kids.
44:07so if.
44:08when they become teenagers.
44:09if they turn out to be wild.
44:10how are you going to do with this.
44:11i.
44:12i think about that a lot.
44:13that's.
44:14that's.
44:15that's.
44:15that scares me.
44:16um.
44:17you're not going to send them to a provost school.
44:18we know that.
44:19definitely not.
44:20um.
44:21that's why.
44:22even with this house.
44:23like.
44:24i want to like.
44:25build.
44:25like this world.
44:26where they.
44:27never want to sneak out.
44:28because they'll just always want to invite all their friends.

46:07they love going to her house
46:09she has like a whole
46:10like children's nursery
46:11playroom at the house
46:13that has all the
46:15coolest toys and everything so they're always
46:17going over there and playing with her
46:19and she's very
46:20childlike in so many ways as well
46:21so she's just so sweet with them
46:23and
46:24she
46:25she's obsessed
46:25especially with London
46:27she's like London is like my twin
46:29because if you
46:30look at their baby photos
46:31they look so similar
46:32oh really?
46:33that's so cute
46:34but she's an amazing
46:35yeah she's an amazing grandma
46:36so you have 20 boy embryos on ice I read
46:40after trying for a girl
46:41for so many times
46:42will you keep them on ice?
46:45yeah
46:45so you never know
46:46so you consider more kids?
46:49I
46:49I
46:50love having two
46:50but you never know
46:52because they're getting so big
46:53so I
46:53I love babies so much
46:55so
46:56maybe there'll be another brother one day
46:58we'll see what happens
47:00or if someone in the family needs one
47:01we have
47:02lots of
47:03boys
47:03we talked about this
47:05earlier about how
47:06trolls and social media are difficult
47:07and there's so much mum shaming on social
47:10like critiquing like a baby's physicality
47:12it's so appalling
47:13how do you handle
47:15things like that
47:15what does it bring out on you?
47:17I'm like a protective mama bear so
47:20I
47:20I
47:20get very protective
47:21and
47:22you know
47:24sometimes
47:25there is
47:25you know
47:25people online
47:26who want to be mean and negative
47:28and I just think it's so
47:30wrong to
47:30talk about a baby
47:31in a bad way
47:33or
47:33just like
47:35like a cruel way
47:35so I
47:36I'm always very protective of it
47:38but
47:40there's been so many moms
47:41and others
47:42who have been so supportive
47:43and so amazing
47:44and
47:45I love being able to share my life with them
47:48and
47:48it's always nice to hear from
47:50the other moms
47:50because
47:51moms are superheroes
47:53and we can do it all
47:55just like us
47:56that's a leveler
47:57and
47:57like
47:58no matter if you've got millions
47:59of
48:00dollars
48:00like
48:01you still have to go through the same struggles
48:03as other parents
48:04how do you
48:06and Carter
48:06think about
48:07balancing privacy
48:08with sharing
48:09family
48:09family moments
48:10like
48:10do you ever have any tension about that
48:12I feel like I
48:13I've
48:13shared
48:14so much of my life
48:15and
48:18I love my fans
48:18and I know
48:19that they
48:19love seeing
48:20my family
48:21so I
48:22love to show them
48:23certain moments
48:24or not
48:24like
48:24every single day
48:25but
48:26all like the
48:28special fun
48:29moments
48:29that we do together
48:30it's always fun to share them
48:31like
48:32Phoenix
48:33just like
48:34always is saying
48:35the cutest things
48:36and
48:37I don't know
