Three key members of the "Captain Praba" gang were extradited back to Malaysia on Wednesday (Jan 28) morning to face justice.

In the afternoon, C. Navindren Raj, 38; S. Pratifkumar and S. Sridharan, both aged 30; were charged at the Sepang Sessions Court for allegedly being members of an organised crime group.

00:00Three key members of the Captain Prabha gang have been
00:05extradited back to Malaysia to face justice.
00:0838-year-old Sina Vindran
00:10Raj, S Pratifkumar and S Sridharan, both age 30, were
00:15flown back on a commercial flight from Mumbai under tight
00:18security escort by several militants.
00:20The trio were detained under the security offences special
00:25measures act 2012 or SOSMA upon their arrival at KLIA.
00:30on Wednesday morning.
00:32They were taken to the Sepang District Police Headquarters
00:35for the purpose of documentation.
00:38In the afternoon, they were charged at the
00:40Sepang Sessions Court for allegedly being members of an
00:43organized crime group.
00:45The offence was allegedly committed in Jenjarom, Kuala Langat.
00:49Between December 2000
00:5023 and September 2025.
00:53The charge was framed under
00:55Section 130V Subsection 1 of the Penal Code, which provides
01:00for imprisonment of not less than five years and not exceeding twenty years, if
01:05they were convicted.
01:06No plea was recorded from the accused after the charge was read in Tamil as the
01:10case falls under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
01:15The court was denied bail and ordered the case to be transferred to the
01:18Shah Alam High Court.
01:20On September 11 last year, police launched a multi-state operation, Code
01:259.
01:25The gang was named Ops Jack Sparrow, targeting the gang, which reportedly has
01:2933 members.
01:30And is led by an individual known as Captain Prabha.
01:33They are believed to be involved in
01:35various violent crimes, including murder, assault with dangerous weapons, gang
01:40robbery and arson.
